"We Are Monster High" is the second Monster High theme song. It debuted on June 6, 2013, as a lyric video on the Monster High YouTube channel. The video also had an 3D-animated introduction by Catty Noir, and once the song ended, the screen returns to her, who notes that another music video is in the works with Monster High fans having a chance to star in it.
At the same time, the song was uploaded on the main website over the "Fright Song", which lyrics file was even deleted. As such, it appears "We Are Monster High" has replaced the "Fright Song", but it did not appear as a theme song for the webisodes until the volume 5 episode, Sayonara Draculaura.
And then on June 13, 2013, the release of the video dance contest rules and the choreography tutorial for the moves to be used in the entries. This tutorial was released on YouTube on the 17th, and even later, as a three-parter of the tutorial was also released. And on July 21, 2013 was the final date at which entries could be submitted. As the Freaky Fab 13 updates of June and September, Mattel hosted a video dance contest with which people could earn a spot in a second, fan-centric "We Are Monster High Madison Beer" music video. The contest was international, with one winner chosen from the following countries: Mexico, Italy, France, United States of America (two winners), Spain, Poland, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Brazil, Greece and Portugal. And then on September 13, 2013, the fan music video was released.
There is another version released for the Boo York, Boo York soundtrack, with a different lead singer. The song is available to stream on Spotify and YouTube Music.
A Spanish version performed by Spanish group Sweet California called "Somos Monster High" was released on August 7, 2014. This version became the most-streamed adaptation of the song on YouTube, surpassing the original in views.
There is a Polish version titled „Jesteś Monster High”. A lyric video version was released on Janury 15, 2014. Casting for the music video occurred throughout the first half of the year, with the final product being released on June 13, 2014.

- The song says "The clock is striking 13" when in real life, clocks and time in general only go up to 12:59. This may be in reference to the number 13 being an unlucky number and a sign of a haunted presence. Because of the number 13 has many superstitions surrounding it, the clock striking 13:00 may be a possible thing in the Monster High Universe.
- The Thirteenth Stroke of The Clock is also a phrase that means that all previous events should be questioned if one thing proves to be incorrect. The thirteenth strike of a clock is a sign of a clock not functioning normally or striking an impossible hour.
