Venus McFlytrap is a 2024-introduced and all-around character. She is a plant monster from Boo York, and a student at Monster High.
Appearance[]
Venus is a tall, slender-yet-curvaceous and green-skinned teenage plant monster with leaf-shaped ears, multiple teeth protruding from her mouth, and vine-shaped markings which entangled around her legs. She sports knee-length hair which is a vibrant shade of deep-pink with green streaks, kept into loc twists. Her hair is also styled into cornrow braids on the right and she accessorized with a hair clip shaped like a lime-green flytrap (hence her name) with light pink flowers on them.
Her eyebrows are colored in a slight darker shade than her skin tone, and her almond-shaped eyes are two shades of brown with lime-green undertones and long thick eyelashes protruding from them - the bottom lashes colored in deep-pink. Her makeup is bright and distinctive, which consists of coral, deep-pink and yellow eyeshadow worn around her eyes, hot-pink lipstick, and deep-pink nail polish on her stiletto nails.
Venus's outfit is highly plant-based; she wears a set of silver spiked vine-shaped earrings with a matching choker around her neck, and a black crop-top with the sleeves ripped off, followed by hot-pink vines printed all over it, and the word "nature" printed in white and black with green highlighting it. Her top is worn over a long-sleeved transparent shirt with deep-pink and purple vines all over it. Around her waist is a highly decorated, accessorized belt (matching her choker and earrings) with a green flower and fangs on the buckle, which holds up her blue denim shorts with hearts, vines and the peace symbol printed all over it.
For footwear, she wore a calf-length fishnet sock on her right leg and an over-the-knee ripped black sock on her left leg, worn under her calf-high, high-heeled platform boots with a deep-pink and silver gradient, followed by green vines and flowers entangling around them and thorn-like green teeth on the soles.
Personality[]
Venus is positive, determined, and ambitious, and possesses a deep-rooted passion for protecting the environment. Her determination to sprout a new path is unwavering, driven by a desire to make her family proud. When stressed, she uses her pollen power, that not only soothes her but also allows her to communicate with plants. While fiercely independent, she embraces the strength of teamwork alongside her ghouls and boos.[Source] As a budding entrepreneur, she proudly owns a beachfront smoothie hut at the Scare-adise Resort, and later a smoothie cart at Monster High’s Coffin Bean.[1]
Abilities[]
- Chlorokinesis: Venus is able to grow prehensile vines from her hair and wrists. She can also control and communicate with plant life by using her pollen power. Sometimes, when overwhelmed, Venus accidentally pollinates, which can cause nearby plants to become sentient as a result.
