Unicorns are monsters in Monster High that are similar to centaurs as they can walk on four legs or two as Neighthan's mother is said to be able to do this. Unicorns are mythological animals resembling a horse or a goat with a single horn on its forehead. The unicorn appeared in early Mesopotamian artworks, and it also was referred to in the ancient myths of India and China. The earliest description in Greek literature of a single-horned (Greek monokerÅs, Latin unicornis) animal was by the historian Ctesias (c. 400 BCE), who related that the Indian wild ass was the size of a horse, with a white body, purple head, and blue eyes, and on its forehead was a cubit-long horn colored red at the pointed tip, black in the middle, and white at the base. Those who drank from its horn were thought to be protected from stomach trouble, epilepsy, and poison. It was very fleet of foot and difficult to capture. The actual animal behind Ctesiasâs description was probably the Indian rhinoceros.
Description[]
Unicorns are horse-like monsters that come in many different shapes and sizes. Unicorns can walk on four legs making them similar to centaurs, but unicorns can shapeshift to have two legs but still have hooves for feet. Neighthan is an exception to this most likely because he's a hybrid. Unicorns also have a horn on their forehead.
Abilities[]
- Healing: Unicorns with the horn on their forehead can heal people.
- Shapeshifting: Unicorns can shapeshift, allowing them to walk on two legs rather than four.
Known Unicorns[]
- Neighthan Rot (Hybrid)
- Neighthan's mother
