Description[]
Volume 3, Episode 3: Clawdeen and Draculaura get help from an unlikely suspect, Toralei! The three of them take the earworms back to the science lab to search for clues and are surprised by what they find! Draculaura's date, Clawd, is still missing which could also make him a suspect and the portal comes back to take more ghouls and boos into another dimension!
Summary[]
Clawdeen and Draculaura worry as another victim has been abducted. Toralei is especially terrified at what just happened to Bloodgood, as this is her first time seeing those portals. As Draculaura says they can't wait around while the Formal Phantom takes them one by one, the security traps in the office reactivate now that Bloodgood's gone, and the three make a quick escape. Clawdeen picks up the tray of earworms, announcing that she's bringing them back to the science lab; Draculaura decides to come with her so they can check the lab for clues, and Toralei comes since someone is trying to frame her for committing all the pranks (alongside a slight desire to genuinely help), taking the other two by surprise.
As the trio arrive in the science lab, only to see it is in a huge mess, with Clawdeen commenting it looks like a crime scene. Draculaura fulfills this comment by "coming prepared"; she wraps caution tape all around the room. As Clawdeen returns the earworms in their rightful jar, Toralei suspicously expresses that Clawdeen knows a lot about them, to which Clawdeen responds that that's because she and her brother are Clawd are heads of the Creepy Crawly Club after all. Draculaura worries about Clawd's whereabouts again, since he's been missing all night. Toralei suggests that Clawd may be the culprit, to which Clawdeen and Draculaura instantly object; as Toralei calls them out on their hypocrisy, she steps in pink slime. Clawdeen smells it and reveals that it has a "scary sweet" scent. They also take notice of the broken glass all over the floor, and Clawdeen realizes that it comes from Pod 8 - the earworm pod - which has been locked ever since Toralei earwormed the school, which Toralei herself complains they should move on from. Clawdeen wonder why someone would break it since Mr. Mothmanson keeps the code on a note on his desk, but upon reaching the desk notices that there is instead a note featuring a drawing of an earworm. Draculaura notices the broken keypad also on the floor, reading the typed-in code of "1908", matching the code they saw on the framed note; she realizes that the letter and the earworm sketch on the desk are the same note torn in half. Clawdeen still questions why the culprit would break the glass when they already had the code. Toralei imagines if the earworms could talk so they could tell them who let them free, to which Draculaura agrees; she takes an earworm and casts a spell to make it talk: "Earworm, earworm, small and slow, with this spell, your voice will grow!" Howeever, the earworm instead becomes massive in size, screeching and attacking the trio.
Draculaura transforms into a bat as she worries how they will stop what she caused. Following Clawdeen's lead, they tie it up using the caution tape and pull to squeeze it, but this doesn't work as it breaks free. Clawdeen and Toralei are weakened by the giant earworm's continuous loud screaming due to their super were hearing. The earworms sinks its teeth into the tape Draculaura is holding whilst she's distracted and throws her across the room, causing her to detransform back into a vampire. She casts another spell to stop the earworm: "Cast a spell to change our fate, help this earworm to deflate!" Unfortunately, this merely makes the earworm fly across the room with a trail of dust. As the three prepare for whatever comes of them, someone arrives, poking the earworm from behind, causing it to deflate and shrink back to its normal size, landing straight into his hands. This savior is revealed to be Clawd.
Clawd says that where he has been all night is "a long story", but this only frustrates Draculaura as she was worried sick for him. Draculaura transforms into a bat again and hangs upside down from the ceiling, refusing the face Clawd. Clawdeen informs her brother to be sensitive; Drac has had a not-so-good night as Dracula is missing. Clawd fully explains where has been: about an hour before the dance, he was adding some new bugs to Mr. Mothmanson's collection: the spiky Porcupillbugs. He was about to get gloves from on top of a container to handle these bugs with care, even though he was holding them in an open jar in his other hand. This causes one of the Porcupillbugs to fall out of the jar and poke Clawd's hand with one of its spikes, causing said hand to grow massive in size. Clawd accidentally knocked over some containers with his hand and they got all over the lab, leaving it in a huge mess, but Clawd had to leave to get cleaned up before the dance. Draculaura remembers something; she asks Clawd if he knows the security code to open the earworm pod, and detransforms after, to which he responds is 8061. This causes the ghouls to realize that the Formal Phantom was looking at the note upside down, leading them to breaking the glass of the pod to get the earworms instead when the code didn't work. This also means that whoever stole the earworms did not know the code. Draculaura makes Toralei apologize to Clawd for accusing him.
Clawd also apologizes to Draculaura for unintentionally making her feel bad, and Draculaura apologizes for overreacting due to how upset she is. After the two embrace, Clawd assures Draculaura that they'll find her dad, and he'll be by her side till the end. Suddenly, another portal opens, and absorbs Clawd into it. Draculaura hangs onto him, and despite Clawd demanding her to let go, Draculaura tells him that she's with him to the end, thus causing both of them to get teleported, leaving behind a terrified Clawdeen and Toralei.

Notes[]
- Like the rest of the G3 webisodes, this episode's upload on the official Monster High YouTube channel was set to private in September 2024 for unknown reasons.
- This has made the original individual episode lost media through official means, but it is still available, like the rest of the volume, as an upload on the official Nickelodeon YouTube channel, which compiles all eight episodes into a 40 minute special. Said upload is blocked in the UK and Ireland.
- This episode is alternatively titled The Creepy Crawly Club. It appears as text onscreen when Clawdeen and friends enter the lab.
- Clawd Wolf makes his 2D animated debut.
- The Porcupillbugs make their animated debut.
Continuity[]
- Although it can be assumed that these webisodes take place within the same night as the TV series' season 1 finale "The Monster Way", due to it being almost the exact same event and everyone wearing the same attires, this webisode contains a contradiction: Clawd reveals that he caused a mishap in the science lab an hour before the dance began, and was thus missing for the beginning of the ball. He was not missing at all when the dance began in the TV series episode.
- Three episodes in a row, and the events of "Earworm" are yet again mentioned. Again in regards to Toralei committing the earworm prank, as well as Clawdeen telling Toralei that herself and Clawd are heads of the Creepy Crawly Club.
- However, focusing on the latter, Toralei should already know this information due to the pep talk Clawdeen gave her in the same episode.
- Just like with the first episode of the volume with Frankie, there is a zoom into Clawd's brain, which is shown in a stylized manner to represent his personality, when cutting to his flashback.
Errors[]
- How did Clawd know what Toralei was apologizing for when he wasn't there when she suggested he may be a suspect?
