This line of third-generation dolls is without a name, on account of it containing the 'default' dolls and thus not needing a theme-defining designation. This 'Student' series of dolls primarily represent the characters as they commonly appear in fiction, but the number of 'Student' dolls in alternative outfits is steadily growing. Most are released in groups of 2 to 8 dolls that in marketing and release dates share common ground, with each set seemingly being composed of new releases of the core 5 dolls, three new characters released alongside those five, and then two more characters released slightly afterward. The sets are also nameless, fans have made up names themselves to distinguish between the sets and in particular the characters with dolls in multiple 'Student' sets.

The 'Student' series started in October 2022, marking the start of the new and third generation of the franchise, with 8 dolls and three of them being exclusive to department stores: Deuce Gorgon on Amazon, Ghoulia Yelps on Target and Toralei Stripe on Walmart; the first wave of what the fandom came to call the 'Boo Crew' or 'Core' subline. Released in Early 2023, Creepover Party Twyla Boogeyman was the first default-clothed doll that was not released in a 'Student' subline. Later in July of that year, the second wave of the 'Boo Crew', with Abbey Bominable and Clawd Wolf, was released.
In the following year, in January 2024, Heath Burns was the second Not-Student doll to be released in the 'Scare-adise Island' line. This was alongside the release of a second sub-line called 'Faboolous Friends', initially with the previously seen Clawdeen Wolf and Draculaura, and the first Venus McFlytrap doll. The Clawdeen, Draculaura, Frankie, Cleo, and Lagoona dolls in this line have been referred to as their 'Core Refresh' dolls by the fan community.
