Spectra Vondergeist is a 2022-introduced and all-around character. She is a poltergeist and a student at Monster High.
Character[]
Personality[]
Don't let Spectra's translucent appearance fool you—this teenage poltergeist is a chatterbox who just wants to be seen! She embodies the modern ghoul, always connected to her iCoffin, and finds delight in startling her friends with her poltergeist abilities, often popping up unexpectedly to create a scare. She playfully enjoys the thrill of making others scream, though she sometimes comes off as inconsiderate by not fully considering the consequences of her scares, like when she accidentally causes chaos for Frankie. Despite occasional setbacks, Spectra is persistent and determined to scare others, as well as maintain the Vondergeist legacy from the eerie side of Hauntlywood. But to her friends, Spectra cares for them very much and is willing to help anyone in need.
Appearance[]
Spectra is a slender, white-skinned teenage poltergeist girl who's slightly transparent. Her hair is a mesmerizing mix of three colors: lilac, warm purple, and periwinkle. She sports wavy, tailbone-length hair styled in a half-up pull-through braid, which reveals her accessorized chain tiara with a gemstone resembling an Opal gemstone around her head, serving as one of her jewelries.
Her sharp brows are colored in a very dark purple, and her light gray eyes have sky-blue sclera and fairly thick eyelashes protruding from them. Her minimal makeup consists of both purple lipstick and purple nail polish on her fingernails.
This poltergeist is ready to float through the halls in style! Spectra wears a sheer lilac overcoat with a subtle chain pattern drapes over her outfit, revealing a darkly glamorous ensemble beneath. A dark indigo gothic bolero shrug jacket with a sharp mandarin collar adds a touch of gothic sophistication. The centerpiece is a dark lilac romper, mirroring the chain motif of the coat. Completing the spectral ensemble, a chain belt adorns her waist, with a chain chest harness. For footwear, Spectra chose silver high heels with chain accents and a sliver ball for a heel that echoed the chain details and color scheme of her outfit.
Abilities[]
As a poltergeist , Spectra Vondergeist sports poltergeist-like abilities including:
- Intangibility: Like most ghosts, poltergeists are intangible so are able to pass through solid objects, likely because they are energy instead of matter.
- Flight: Poltergeists are able to fly/float.
- Immortality: Like all other dead monsters, poltergeists are immortal.
- Teleportation: Spectra’s ability consists of appearing and disappearing from anywhere.
- Object Phasing: Spectra has the unique ability to make objects intangible, enabling them to pass through solid matter just like she can.
