Selena Wolf is a 2022-introduced and fiction-only character. She is a Mexican werewolf, the mother of Clawdeen and Clawd Wolf, and the wife of Apollo.
Character[]
Background[]
Selena studied at Monster High in her younger years. At some point, during a ritual on the werewolf statue of the school, Selena became a very powerful werewolf, and received the Moonclaw Talisman, becoming the ruler of the Werebeasts. Years after she had already graduated, she was discovered by a monster researcher, Apollo. Although monsters typically avoid humans at all costs, Selena saw Apollo's kind nature and love for monsters, and the two fell in love.
Since Selena is a powerful werewolf, she can transform into a human and back into a werewolf at will, so she married Apollo and moved into the human world. Selena got pregnant and gave birth to her daughter Clawdeen. When Clawdeen was five years old, Selena had to return to Monster High because of a task for the Monster Council; before leaving, she left her moonclaw talisman with Apollo for Clawdeen to receive when she was older. During the task, she and the Monster Council opened a portal in the catacombs' labyrinth, which led to a dimension called "Beheme" — however, Selena got trapped in Beheme by associate Catarina Stripe, who despised her for spreading her values about monster equality. She was declared as a missing person, with no one knowing what happened to her; Catarina became the new were-ruler of the werebeasts and Apollo looked for Selena during all these 10 years.
In Beheme, Selena discovered she was pregnant again and gave birth to her son Clawd. Time passes differently in Beheme, so Clawd, who is actually Clawdeen's little brother, grew to be older than her. Selena and Clawd opened a pest control business in Beheme, to take care of the problem with the creatures of said dimension, such as Splitzy. During the first season, Clawdeen looked for her mother, and when she first opened the portal with her moonclaw talisman, she accidentally brought Clawd and the Splitzy to Monster High. Clawdeen and Clawd, with the help of their friends, were able to find the rest of the missing monster talismans, and on the night of the Monster Ball/bloodmoon eclipse, they were able to reopen the portal to Beheme and bring Selena back to the monster world. This was in spite of Catarina's attempts to stop them, and she was arrested and stripped of her title of wereleader as a result.
Selena is adjusting to being back, with her daughter Clawdeen currently acting as wereleader until a new one is elected through elections, in which she is one of the candidates.
Personality[]
Selena is a kind-hearted woman, who is shown to love her family very much. She, unlike a lot of monsters, also holds a positive opinion of humans, believing that were-society had things to learn from humans.
Appearance[]
Selena is a dark-skinned werewolf with yellow eyes and short lilac hair. She has a scar on her right eye.
Abilities[]
Being a werewolf, Selena's abilities are:
- Werewolf & Human transformation: When Selena had the Moonclaw Talisman, she was able to turn into a human and werewolf at will.
- Enhanced strength: Like most werewolves, Selena possesses powerful strength.
- Enhanced Hearing: Like most werewolves, Selena has a greater sense of hearing.
- Enhanced speed: Like most werewolves, Selena can run at high speeds.
- Enhanced agility: Like most werewolves, Selena possesses agility greater than humans.
- Enhanced senses: Like most werewolves, Selena has a greater sense of vision and smell than a human.

Romance[]
At some point, Selena met a human man named Apollo. Despite many monsters having a low opinion of humans, Selena loved Apollo deeply, and vice versa. In the past the two married and had a daughter named Clawdeen and a son named Clawd.
Family[]
Selena has a daughter with Apollo, named Clawdeen Wolf. They love each other very much, and Selena was very happy to see Clawdeen after being separated from her for 10 years. She gave Clawdeen advice on being the new were-ruler, by telling her to trust her human instincts. Selena’s advice helped Clawdeen to make the decision to step down as were-ruler and have were-society vote for their new leader (with Selena being one of the candidates).
While trapped in Beheme, Selena discovered that she was pregnant with her second child, Clawd, and ended up giving birth to him in that dimension. Although Clawd is technically Clawdeen’s younger brother, time passes faster in the alternate dimension, making him physically older than her. In the other dimension, the two opened a pest control business to take care of the dangerous creatures, like Splitzies. She cares about Clawd just as much as Clawdeen.

At some unknown point in time the Wolf family bought a dog named Crescent.
