Scary Sweet Birthday is a doll line themed around Draculaura's 1600 birthday party, officially released in June, 2025. The line consists of the characters Draculaura, Cleo de Nile, Frankie Stein and the first Cupid Asteria doll, as well as a playset called the Cake Kit, which comes with Clawdeen Wolf.
Characteristics[]
A defining feature of each doll in this line is cage skirts to complete the look of their gowns, each designed to look as if it has cake frosting details. Even Cupid has these accessories, despite her doll in this line being her signature. The four main dolls each come with an invite to Draculaura's birthday party and a balloon themed around their character. Frankie, Cleo, and Cupid all come with a birthday card and present for Draculaura, whilst Draculaura only comes with a selfie of all four together and a pink coffin present of her own. Draculaura, Frankie, and Cleo also all come with purses, whilst Cupid instead has a bag of her arrows.
Clawdeen also has a cage skirt and even a chest piece. Her design is much simpler because she comes with a playset.
Fiction[]
The story of this line is detailed in the "Draculaura's Scary Sweet Birthday" webseries. This is a departure from how previous G3 deluxe doll lines were mainly promoted, which was through episodes of the TV series: Creepover Party had the episode of the same name, Monster Ball primarily had "The Monster Way", and Monster Fest had the two-parter of the same name. Due to the series' cancellation however, Mattel began developing the "Draculaura's Scary Sweet Birthday" webisodes as early as January 2025[1][2] with MindShow, which before only produced CG-animated G3 promotional music videos for the Monster High YouTube channel; therefore, the webisodes are in the exact same animation style as these videos.
The webseries debuted on YouTube on August 30, 2025. It follows what occurred on the night of Draculaura's 1600th birthday, as she is set to receive the coveted Monster of the Century award along with her very own Skullette on Hauntlywood Boulevard. But when Draculaura's fears of not living up to her family legacy rise on the eve of the big night and Cupid's cryptic prophecy hints at a mix of mishaps during the celebration, the Boo Crew leaps into action to keep the events on track. These webisodes also reveal that, in-universe, Jinafire Long designed Draculaura, Frankie, Cleo, and Clawdeen's looks in this line.
It features a marginally different voice cast than the TV series due to contractual restrictions with Nickelodeon, although some actors managed to reprise their roles, mainly Courtney Lin as Draculaura.
An extended play featuring the songs from the webisodes was released on September 26. Each song is still presented in the series in the same style as the music videos MindShow mainly makes for Monster High.
The Boo-tique Hotel playset has also been made to be a tie-in with this line. The back of the boxes for the main four dolls detail how the hotel is the birthday party's location. This is elaborated on in "Draculaura's Scary Sweet Birthday", in which it's revealed the Boo Crew traveled to Hauntlywood to also celebrate Draculaura's Monster of the Century ceremony, which was on the same night as her birthday, and the hotel was where they stayed.

Trivia[]
- This line appears to be the Generation 3 rendition of Sweet 1600 from Generation 1. The original Sweet 1600 logo is also included in multiple accessories in the line, such as Draculaura's balloon and Clawdeen's cake equipment.
- This line also similarly has elements of Sweet Screams in terms of the characters' confectionery-inspired outfits. Draculaura's earrings are modeled after Count Fabulous' appearance from the aforementioned line.
- The Clawdeen playset has the subtitle 'Cake Kit'.
- For unknown reasons, the in-box stock photos for the dolls feature noticeable design differences.
- Draculaura's hands are not painted black to resemble gloves and the cuffs for the gloves are facing the other way. Additionally, the bows on her cage skirt are white instead of pink.
- However, her pearl necklace and headpiece being more transclucent is the only in-box stock photo change that is true to the final doll.
- Frankie's prosthetic leg is its default silver color instead of pink.
- Cupid's cage skirt is pink instead of gold.

- In early developments:[3]
- The line was originally called 1600 Candles.
- Venus McFlytrap, Robecca Steam, and Rochelle Goyle would have been a part of the doll line. Instead, Venus' core doll was released in spring 2024, and Robecca's in spring 2026. Rochelle has yet to appear in G3.
- There was originally going to be a "Birthday Vehicle" playset, seemingly in the same vein as the Roadster from the G1 line.
