Petra Fied is a 2013-introduced and prose-only character. She is a mummy and the skultastic superintendent of Salem, Oregon.
Character[]
Background[]
Personality[]
A vain and authoritarian woman, Petra would not find herself in much of a company if her title didn't mean people had to deal with her. [Source]
Appearance[]
Superintendent Petra is a "tall and stern-looking" mummy with a remarkable stiffness to her. Her emotions are hard to read and when she speaks, nothing about her face moves except for her lips. While rigor mortis might be in effect, she's also a heavy crowtox user. [Source]
Relationships[]
Friends[]
While the human threat keeps the monster community on its toes, Petra Fied as superintendent and Fred as scariff work closely together on a course of action. It appears that their professional association is backed up by friendship, because while everyone else addresses them as "Superintendent Petra" and "Scariff Fred", Fred calls the superintendent just "Petra" twice. Petra does not see eye-to-eye with Sue Nami. Both women appreciate order, but Petra insists on hierarchy with an intensity that Nami does not. Petra's vanity also clashes with Nami's no-nonsense attitude. During Headless Headmistress Bloodgood's disappearance, Petra inserted herself a lot in Monster High's goings-on despite naming Nami as Bloodgood's replacement for the time being. She did not respect Nami's authority and was displeased whenever Nami would habitually address her with "ma'am" instead of her title. [Source]
Fiction[]
Ghoulfriends[]
Skultastic Superintendent Petra Fied and Scariff Fred Onarrival organize an assembly in the main hall of Monster High when Headless Headmistress Bloodgood goes missing and for reasons of a ransom letter is believed to have been abducted by normies. Petra and Fred declare that they will not bow to the normies' demands to wall off Salem, that they do everything in their power to find Bloodgood, and that they've got both their organizations working to keep everyone safe from follow-up terrorism. Petra ends the assembly with the announcement that she's made Sue Nami the temporary principal. Some days later, Petra receives a call from Fred that they have a lead because the photographer CeeCee Thrue has caught someone lurking in the shadows of the attic of Monster High. She is present when the police arrest the intruder, Wydowna Spider, and take her away for questioning. Wydowna lies that because she was told that Monster High wasn't accepting new students, attending clandestine seemed like a good idea. The authorities have no reason to doubt her and return Wydowna to Monster High when Petra and Nami enroll her officially. Petra herself returns to the campus grounds on Crack and Shield Day to vainly partake in the torch-bearing ceremony instead of Sue Nami. [Source] Halfway through Crack and Shield Day, Petra sounds the alarm when Ramses de Nile informs her and Fred that he's found evidence that the normies are preparing another abduction. Once all students have assembled inside, she performs a headcount and discovers that Wydowna is missing. While the police search for the missing student, Petra explains the situation to the students and staff. She and Nami get into an argument over it because Nami requests a look into the evidence, which Petra takes as a challenge to her authority and reliability. Sylphia Flapper breaks them up before it gets to fisticuffs. Having sufficiently dealt with the students, Petra sets up a meeting for the adults of Salem to discuss a course of action. Flapper proposes that they seek protection from ASOME, which is met with both consideration and objection. Those objecting too want to have their own look at the evidence, which Petra refuses once more. After the meeting, Flapper convinces Petra and Fred to give ASOME a try. Along with Nami, the group sets up another meeting; this one aimed at the students. [Source]
