Plot[]

Part 1[]

After the events of "Werewolf Weekend", Clawdeen and her father Apollo have a great time during the weekend Clawdeen spent at home. After revealing to her father about her werewolf side, they're having great quality time. Clawdeen and Apollo are seeing old photos of Selena, Clawdeen still wonders why her mother left before telling her about their inner monsters, but Apollo feels Selena is still alive. Apollo takes a box with some of Selena's stuff, in hope they can find something that can tell what happened to her. Most of the stuff have nothing to do with monsters, then they find a music box that has a ballerina and a wolf. The box plays a lullaby that Selena used to sing to Clawdeen, making her feel good. Then, Apollo shows a book that Selena left behind before she disappeared, the book seems blank to him, but it turns out it's a book that only monsters' eyes can see its notes. It's a book about Monster High's architectural history, it might have the answer to what happened to Selena.

Clawdeen returns to Monster High with the book, she shows it to Frankie and Draculaura. The book is from the school's library, a piece of paper falls from the book, it's some kind of puzzle with some symbols. Draculaura offers to solve it, because she is the second-best student in puzzleology class, losing only to Manny Taur. The symbols on the puzzle appears to represent monsters, and all are above some bullseye drawing. Still not sure what it has to do with Selena's disappearance, the trio decide to look in the library. There, they find Manny, who is taking some books to read, Draculaura appears to be mocking Manny, as she states that they're rivals in puzzleology, unbeknownst to him. But Frankie and Clawdeen snap them back to reality and ask Manny about Selena's book. To Manny's delight, the book is the volume 1 of nine about Monster High's architectural history, the only one he couldn't read it and is excited to read it. Unlike the other eight volumes, this is the only one that describes Monster High as the founders built it. It shows the deepest level of the catacombs, upon hearing this, Frankie has a brain bit memory of Dr. Blunder, the monster inventor from 1970s whose brain bit is part of Frankie's brain. The memory shows some talismans, including Clawdeen's moonclaw, then it shows some monsters wearing cloaks going to the catacombs, and there's some kind of portal there. After the memory fades away, Frankie goes jogging, because their mother told them to "jog the memories".

Manny manages to solve the puzzle, to Draculaura's annoyance. The book has a map that shows the only way to the school's wellspring of power that can only be accessed through the catacombs' labyrinth, under the school. The symbols on the puzzle line up to the original entrances to the labyrinth, that have been sealed off. One of the symbols of the puzzle is circulated, it lines up to the werewolf statue in the graveyard, so Clawdeen runs there to see what it means, Manny and Draculaura go after her. They get to the statue, and at first they don't find anything, but when Clawdeen punches the statue's nose, it opens a secret passage under their feet, making the teenagers fall in it. Outside the school, Frankie's pet Watzie is playing with Frankie's legs, they are then greeted by Deuce. Suddenly, Frankie has another memory of Dr. Blunder: The Monster Council is in the catacombs, there are six talismans, each represent a monster type: werewolf, frankenmonster, vampire, mummy, sea monster and gorgon. The frankenmonster talisman turns out to be the buckle of Watzie's collar and the werewolf talisman is Clawdeen's moonclaw. The six talismans together open a portal in the school's wellspring of power. According to Dr. Blunder, the portal should only be open during the Blood Moon Eclipse with the full monster council present and their respective talismans in hand. Otherwise, opening it could unleash disasters on the world. Realizing Clawdeen could bring disasters to Monster High while trying to find her mother, Frankie, Deuce and Watzie run to the library to warn their friends.

In the catacombs' labyrinth, Draculaura and Manny are scared and want to leave, but Clawdeen refuses to, she believes her mother left the moonclw for her to find Monster High and now she believes she can finally find her. Meanwhile, Frankie, Deuce and Watzie arrive to the library, but there's no one there. Upon seeing the statues on the book, Frankie has another brain bit memory, showing the werewolf statue, and realize their friends are already in the catacombs' labyrinth. Frankie then tells Watzie to track Clawdeen. Clawdeen, Draculaura and Manny arrive at an empty room. Manny and Draculaura find a stone puzzle on the wall that shows a three-headed monster, they realize the stones on the floor are the pieces of one of the monster's heads, the two work together to solve the puzzle. This reveals a circular opening on the floor that resembles the bullseye on the puzzle. Clawdeen, ignoring her friends' warnings, goes for it. She is taken down into the school's wellspring of power and finds the portal from Dr. Blunder's memories, then she finds a lock carved in stone shaped like her moonclaw necklace.

Frankie, Deuce and Watzie arrive to Draculaura and Manny, explaining about the disaster. Clawdeen, at that moment, puts her necklace on the lock, her friends get down to warn her, but it's too late. The portal is opened, Clawdeen calls for her mother, hoping she might be there, but there's no respond. Suddenly something comes out of the portal, then someone comes out of it, the two run away. The whole place starts to collapse, Clawdeen realizes what came out of the portal took her necklace, the five teenagers and Watzie manage to get out of the catacombs before the room collapses completly.

Part 2[]

On Monster High, Cleo is making a chemical experience on the mad science lab, suddenly, the door opens. Clawdeen, Draculaura, Frankie, Deuce, Manny and Watzie manage to return to the school from the catacombs. Then, they hear Cleo screaming and, following it, the Skullette S.A. system alerts there's an intruder in Monster High. Deuce, Manny and Watzie part ways with Clawdeen, Draculaura and Frankie to cover more ground. The trio arrives to the lab, finding Cleo stunned on the floor. They spot someone hinding, Clawdeen jumps on him and sees its a male werewolf (the one who came out of the portal). The werewolf came to Monster High to stop the disaster that came out of the portal: a world destroyer creature called "Splitzy". The Splitzy has Clawdeen's moonclaw necklace, it then steals the werewolf boy's lunch and, to Clawdeen's shock, his lunch is one of her mother's hot tamales that she used to cook. Splitzy eats the tamale, and it makes it split up in two Splitzies. The creature eats more things and duplicates itself more, the others try to catch it, but fails and the Splitzies run off. Clawdeen asks the other werewolf who he is and why he has her mother's tamales, but he says these are his mother's tamales. He then realizes she is Clawdeen Wolf, she asks how he knows her name, he introduces himself as Clawd Wolf and reveals he is also Selena and Apollo's child, which means, he's Clawdeen's brother, leaving her and her friends in complete shock. They hear screaming and run to catch the Splitzies.

While chasing the Splitzies, Clawd tells Clawdeen the whole truth about their mother: 10 years ago, Selena got trapped in another dimension called "Beheme", inhabited by terrifying beasts, including the Splitzies. While there, Selena discovered she was pregnant with Clawd. Clawd was born after Clawdeen, but he is technically her older brother because time passes differently in the Beheme, so he grew up to be older than her. Selena and Clawd have been trying to return to Earth for years, so when Clawdeen opened the portal, it brought Clawd and Splitzy to Monster High. They fail again on catching the disaster creature. Clawdeen, at first, thinks Clawd's story was made up, but when he shows her their mother's hot tamales and she eats it, Clawdeen realizes he is indeed her brother, so the two work together to stop the creatures. The Splitzies are eating everything in school, the teenagers can't stop them.

Clawdeen asks her brother what to do. Clawd tells he and Selena have a pest control business in the Beheme and to stop the Splitzies, they must sing for them to sleep and put all Splitzies in a machine called De-Splitifier. Frankie then has another brain bit flashback of Dr Blunder's life, turns out Blunder had built a De-Splitifier in case of disasters, and left it in the mad science lab. When the Skullette alerts there are Splitsee's all over the school, Clawdeen gets the idea of using the Skullette to sing so all Splitzies in the school will sleep at once. Frankie prepares the De-Splitifier, while Clawdeen and Clawd go to Bloodgood's office to use the Skullette. Although not sure at first, she gives in and lets them use it. The Splitzy who has the moonclaw talisman tries to eat the microphone, but Clawdeen throws it to Clawd and gets her necklace back. Clawd starts singing on the microphone and, to Clawdeen's surprise, he is singing the lullaby Selena used to sing for her, so the two siblings sing it together as a duet.

The lullaby makes all Splitzies in the school fall asleep, so all students bring them to the lab. The Splitzies are all put in the De-Splitifier, then the machine combines all of them back into one single Splitzy. Clawd then puts on it a pest control gadget that will prevent the Splitzy from splitting up again. No one knows what to do with it, but then the Splitzy jumps to Manny to cuddle, making him fall in love and adopt it. Draculaura suggests she and Manny should be friends instead of rivals, which he agrees. After everything that happened, Clawdeen and Clawd are now bonded as siblings, atlhough not getting her mother, Clawdeen got her brother back, even though she didn't know about him before.

At the Headmistress' office, the teenagers tell Bloodgood what happened, leaving her in shock about Selena's story. Frankie shows everyone that the symbols on Watzie's collar match the talismans, having already the frankenmonster and werewolf talismans handy, they all now must find the sea monster, gorgon, mummy and vampire talismans in order to reopen the portal on the next Blood Moon Eclipse. Bloodgood says the talismans were hidden over time, but with some research, they might be able to track them. Knowing his mother is now alone in the Beheme, Clawd asks why they can't open the portal like Clawdeen did, but the Headmistress reminds them the portal has already been destabilized, so opening it inappropriately again could not only cause it to collapse and trap Selena in Beheme forever, it could release the great power that flows beneath Monster High and destroy everything. But she promises they will bring Selena back. Now, Clawd is attending at Monster High, he and Clawdeen are spending time together, talking to each other about their parents and Clawdeen plans on introducing Clawd to their father. Clawd is also still learning how their world works. Manny's Splitzy is causing chaos on the Coffin Bean, eating everything it sees.

Errors[]

  • Humans walk around on the Monster High campus in the background, which is odd as they are not allowed at Monster High... yet.
  • Frankie's eyes are occasionally miscolored, along with Draculaura's eyes glowing.
  • Sometimes during the episode, Clawdeen has human skin when she is a werewolf.
    • Manny's fur is flat like Clawdeen's, but you cannot see his fur in some shots.
  • Clawdeen was still a werewolf without the moonclaw necklace, which also happens in Part of the Pack.
  • Manny's horns are momentarily invisible as he is falling down into the catacombs where Clawdeen put her moonclaw.
