Premise[]
Clawdeen's friendship with Frankie and Draculaura is tested when she's invited to join Monster High's werewolf pack.
Plot[]
Clawdeen Wolf is recording another monster minute on her IBall. Being roommates with Frankie Stein and Draculaura in Monster High is amazing for her. But there's one problem, Clawdeen is shedding too much fur and this is annoying her roommates, but none of them knows how to deal with it, since Clawdeen is new on being a werewolf and her roommates know nothing about werewolves, this makes Clawdeen feels like a lone wolf. Later, Draculaura takes to their room many old documents and other stuff, Draculaura is preparing to make a presentation about her father, Dracula, for the Howl of Fame event that will occur the next night before the rise of the first waxing crescent moon of the moon cycle. Clawdeen is happy and a little jealous that Draculaura has so many things from her father, because the only thing she has from her missing mother, Selena, is her moonclaw necklace/talisman. Both Clawdeen and Frankie had offered to help Draculaura, since it's what true friends are for. Clawdeen, looking through the documents, accidentally causes a paper avalanche that goes out of their dorm.
Outside of the room, Clawdeen encounters Romulus and Barkimedes of the Werewolf Pack. Clawdeen is not happy to see the two after they tricked her into going to the woods (Case of the Moondays). Then, Clawdeen meets Howleen Wolf, the Werewolf Pack's second in command. Howleen makes the boys apologize to Clawdeen for what they did, she's also really interested in Clawdeen and offers to help her with her werewolf issues, mostly her shedding. Draculaura and Frankie defend Clawdeen for what the pack did to her and want them away from her, but they still invite Clawdeen to meet them at the casketball court, the pack then leaves. Even after what Romulus and Barkimedes did to her, Clawdeen seeks answers about being a werewolf. Draculaura is touched by Clawdeen's forgiveness and she and Frankie accept her choice, so Clawdeen goes to the meeting. On the casketball court, the Werewolf Pack's game is interrupted by Toralei. Werewolves and werecats are rivals in the werebeasts nature, and since Toralei's mother is the currenlty wereleader of the werebeasts, the pack dislikes her even more. Toralei pops their ball with her claw and leaves laughing. Clawdeen then appears, Howleen and the boys say they must see her werewolf abilities if she's going to hang out with them. Clawdeen shows her athleticism and strenght, and the pack memebrs all are in shock and impressed with how strong and fast she is. Howleen says it's because the moonclaw talisman gives its owner incredible strength and speed, as it turns out, the Werewolf Pack just wants to get her necklace so Romulus can use it become a powerful werewolf and claim the crowd as the new wereleader.
After she finishes showing them her abilities, Clawdeen hangs out with the pack for a while, playing casketball with them, howling at the moon and Howleen helps Clawdeen with her shedding using a special brush. With this, Clawdeen finally feels like she's with monsters that understand and completly forgets that Draculaura and Frankie need her help with the presentation for the Howl of Fame event, so the two friends are making everything on their own. After all this, the Werewolf Pack offers Clawdeen to join them officially, Clawdeen gets excited and accepts immediately, but they say that first, she must pass an initiation that will occur on the same night as Draculaura's Dracula presentation. Clawdeen hesitates but Howleen convinces her to go to the initiation, that will happen at the werewolf statue. Clawdeen returns to her dorm, her friends are already getting the stuff for the presentation. To Draculaura's shock, Clawdeen says she can't go due to the pack's initiation. Although upset, Draculaura offers to cancel her presentation to watch Clawdeen's initiation, but Clawdeen says it's just for werewolves, then she leaves the room with a guilty expression, leaving her friends sad. Draculaura doesn't understand why the Werewolf Pack members want Clawdeen to join them since they were treating her as an outcast just a few weeks ago. But then Frankie finds, among all the documents, one that might explain the pack's true intentions.
At the werewolf statue, the Werewolf Pack is already wanting for Clawdeen. She then arrives, ready and excited for the initiation. Romulus says for her to join the pack, she must give him her moonclaw necklace. Clawdeen refuses to, claming it was her mother's, upon hearing this, Howleen realizes what it means. Then, the waxing crescent moon aligns with the werewolf statue's ruby eyes, making the sky look reddish. So Romulus and Barkimedes order her to give them her necklace so they can be friends, this makes Clawdeen realize that if the werewolves were trully her friends, they would never force her to do something she doesn't want to. She also realizes she shouldn't have left Draculaura and Frankie and decides to go back to them. Upset, Barkimedes accidentally reveals their true plan: they needed the moonclaw for a ritual that can only be done when the waxing crescent moon and werewolf statue's ruby eyes are aligned, so it would make Romulus a powerful werewolf and take the role as wereleader of the werebeasts. Clawdeen heard everything. Realizing she won't give the moonclaw to them, Romulus tries to take Clawdeen's necklace from her at force, but Howleen, who had a sudden change of heart, holds Romulus and tells Clawdeen to run, so she does.
Romulus and Barkimedes chase Clawdeen through the graveyard. Suddenly, Romulus is able take the moonclaw off her neck, the talisman falls on a rock. The three try to catch it, but bump into each other and fall. The werewolf boys are about to catch it, but Frankie and Draculaura arrive in time to stop them, Clawdeen retrieves her necklace back, Draculaura tells Clawdeen to flee but she refuses to leave her best friends again. Romulus and Barkimedes are about to attack, but Howleen stops them, showing the moon has risen, so they can't make the ritual anymore. Realizing there's nothing they can do now, Romulus and Barkimedes leaves. On their way back to the school, Clawdeen thanks her friends for helping her, but asks how they knew the Werewolf Pack was after her necklace. Draculaura shows her the document Frankie had found. As it turns out: when Clawdeen's mother was a teenager, she received the moonclaw necklace through the same ritual the pack wanted to make, and Selena became the wereleader of the werebeasts after this. Clawdeen is excited knowing her mother was the wereleader. Then the bell screams (rings) and she remembers Draculaura's Dracula presentation, but Draculaura says they will still make it, all together. After this, the three made the presentation together and it was a sucess, Clawdeen is telling all about it to her IBall. Suddenly, Mortimer the Delivery Dragon enters her room with something for her: a brush for shedding Howleen send to her. Clawdeen is happy with it, Frankie is happy too, as they won't need to use the vacuum cleaner anymore. Then, Frankie accidentally turns it on, causing chaos on their room.
