Plot[]

Part 1[]

Draculaura is in charge of hosting a holiday party for her friends. Frankie is excited, since it's their first holiday, Clawdeen asks what this monster holiday is about. Draculaura explains their holiday is called "Nightmore" and is the longest night of the year, where monsters celebrate friendship. Draculaura is nervous, it's the first time her father allows her to host a party on her own and she wants things to go perfectly. Heath enters the room, saying Lagoona and Clawd are waiting for them, Draculaura uses her magic to shrink the suitcase with the decorations so they can care it with no effort. Apparently, Heath already knows about Draculaura's witchcraft, and has aproved it too.

Draculaura wanted to gather all her friends in Monster High to go with her, but all monsters have their own Nightmore traditions, Cleo is going to the pyramids, Deuce and Manny are going to Mount Olympus and Spectra is going to the Phantom realm. The Boo Crew is going to Dracula's cabin in a snow mountain for Nightmore, Ghoulia warns them about yetis, a monster kind that scares other monsters, who could "ice-pop" them, and heads to celebrate Nightmore with others zombies in the Undead. Heath is scared of yetis, but Draculaura assures the mountain they're going isn't yeti territory. To get to the place, Draculaura uses a teleporting spell, they are sent to Dracula's cabin in the mountain. The place is very cold, meaning the temperature regulator might have broke. Heath tries to light up the candles, but steps on a booby trap, releasing sharp ice stalactites that nearly hit Draculaura, Lagoona and Clawd. Draculaura doesn't understand it, her father had never mentioned installing booby traps on the cabin. Unknown to all of the teens, someone else is in the cabin, watching them. Draculaura tries to use her magic to get the suitcase with the decorations back to its normal size, but her magic doesn't work, Frankie explains that elevation messes with witchcraft.

This upsets Draculaura, because her plans for her perfect party are ruined. But Clawdeen comforts Dracualura and suggests they use the things in the cabin for the party, so everyone split up into pairs to find things for Nightmore. Frankie and Lagoona find a wardrobe with a plushie bat toy and board games, so they decide to use the games for the party. Draculaura and Clawdeen open a trunk and find some fake wooden stakes used for movies and some missing toes (monsters' version of mistletoe), where monsters kiss under it, so the two take them. Heath and Clawd find a room with some food, which delights Clawd because he's hungry, but he accidentally activates another booby trap, which them barely escape from. Clawd and Frankie hang some decorations for the party while Draculaura brings some monster soda from 1955. It gets darker outside, meaning Nightmore has begun, the teens celebrate with the stuff they have and are having fun. Following Draculaura's schedule for Nightmore, Clawd will tell a Nightmore spooky story. Clawd tells a story about a werewolf and his friends inside a spooky cabin in yeti territory, scaring the crew.

Suddenly, they hear a sound that makes them jump in fear, the sound is a notification in Draculaura's ICoffin, meaning it's time for the holiday song she wrote, although Draculaura prefers to do it later, Clawd wants to hear it. So she turns on the scary-oke (karaoke) machine, but the loud sound causes the cabin to shake. But after the sound stops, the place still shakes, the teens are scared, believing there might me yetis. To prove they're wrong, Clawdeen opens the door to outisde, at first, everything seems fine. But then Clawdeen is buried by snow from the roof and a female yeti appears. The Crew is ready to attack her, but the yeti stops them. As it turns out, she's not an enemy, she was just hiding in the cabin but decided to wait outside instead, but the roof is too slippery. When looking closely at her, Clawdeen realizes the yeti is a regular monster like them and Lagoona sees she's more scared of them than they are from her. Realizing the yeti girl means no harm, the Boo Crew welcomes her inside. Upon looking at her face-to-face, Heath falls in love with the yeti girl and let her go inside as well. Although Draculaura is confused, she goes in anyway.

Inside the cabin, the yeti introduces herself as Abbey Bominable, Heath brings her some water, but she drops it accidentally, claiming she's very clumsy, and when she touches Heath's arm, he is in shock to see she didn't freeze him. Lagoona gathers more water for her. Abbey tells them that her mother allowed her to go out on her own for a snowboarding trip. Although the others are enjoying hearing her, Draculaura seems unimpressed. She asks Abbey how she managed to go out alone, Abbey confesses that she got too far from her home because of the blizzard, so she found Dracula's cabin decided to go in for some time, she apologizes for her actions and confesses she's the one who installed the booby traps, she did all that because she was scared and desperate. Abbey then explains yetis are not dangerous, they just keep themselves away from other monsters. The Boo Crew invites her to be with them in the party, Draculaura is unsure, but she agrees with reluctance. Instead of following Draculaura's plan, everyone asks Abbey what she would like to do which makes Draculaura upset. Abbey creates many snowballs with her ice breathe, but then Lagoona gets buried by all the snow, the others quickly gather to unbury her, while Abbey is standing feeling guilty.

Part 2[]

The Boo Crew are trying to get Lagoona out of the snow pile, but then she pops out of the snow and starts a snowball fight. The others join the fight, and are having fun, while Draculaura leaves in sadness. Clawdeen is amazed by yetis' ability to control snow, Abbey explains that very powerful yetis can also control the cold weather, but she's not that kind of yeti. Draculaura asks if Abbey's mother can control the weather, which she confirms. Draculaura thinks her mother might be missing her, Abbey says that yeti backpacking takes long time, but this gets Draculaura suspicious, because Abbey said early it was a snowboarding trip. The snowball fight continues, Draculaura still gets notifications about her Nightmore schedule, but since everyone is distracted with the fight, Draculaura decides to try the spell again alone.

Sitting in the cabin's basement, Draculaura is upset her friends are happy with Abbey instead of listening the song she wrote. Abbey then appears, asking if Draculaura is okay. Not wanting to tell what she is feeling, Draculaura pretends she is okay. Abbey says some yetis have the ability to sense cold feelings inside monsters in a cold weather. She asks if Draculaura is sad, and the latter admits it's because the party didn't go as she expected mostly because of the snowball fight. Abbey isn't offended by her comment, she says she and her friends are very kind to her. She then confesses she has no friends. Draculaura is surprised by this, because Abbey is very fierce and, confesses she was jealous of her because the Boo Crew liked her. Abbey is surprised, since she is jealous of Draculaura, because she has friends, her father allows her to throw a party and she goes to Monster High. She says she'd always wanted to go to Monster High, but the rule is yetis aren't allowed in the school because their cold weather powers might get out of control. Draculaura is angry by hearing this, because all kinds of monster should be welcome at Monster High, she promises to help Abbey get enrolled in the school.

Touched by Draculaura's kind heart, Abbey guiltily admits she's not on a snowboarding trip. Actually, her mother is very overprotective, and she left home after they had a big fight. Abbey wanted to show the monsters of Monster High, she could control her powers so they would enroll her, but her mother refused, Abbey was fed up and left home to get cold air and when they got more worried, the blizzard got worse, so Abby got lost and now can't find her way home. While talking and expressing what she's feeling, it starts snowing inside. Draculaura, now seeing what Abbey truly feels, assures her she is no longer alone and promises to help her go back home. She says they should call her mother, but Abbey says her mother doesn't have an iCoffin. Back in the living room, the teenagers are still in the snowball fight, suddenly, the cabin's phone rings. Since it's an old telephone, the teenagers don't know how to use it, but Frankie does and answers it.

It's Headmistress Bloodgood calling, because there is a yeti attacking the school, believing they are hiding her daughter in there. It is Abbey's mother. Abbey overhears everything, worried, she accidentally freezes the phone, and it breaks into pieces. The Boo Crew offer their iCoffins to her, but there's no more phone service in the cabin because of the storm, Abbey is worried and scared of what might happen, but Draculaura has a plan. She shows the Crew a car called "The Ghoul Mobile", so they get in the car and Draculaura drives it, leaving the cabin. The plan is to drive to a low elevation so Draculaura can use her magic to teleport them back to Monster High. They head to the bottomless ice chasm of doom, where there should be a giant bridge, but the bridge is gone. Draculaura hits the brakes, but because of the slippery ice, the car won't stop. Abbey has an idea, but she is not sure she is powerful enough. The Boo Crew encourages her, with Heath calling her skilled, charismatic and beautiful (since he has a crush on her). When they are getting closer to the chasm, Abbey uses her ice powers to create a new bridge, everyone shouts happily after this.

They manage to get low enough for Draculaura's magical powers to work again. At Monster High, Tundra Bominable is chasing Bloodgood down the school hallways, when Tundra is about to hit the Headmistress with sharp ice stalactites, Abbey stops her just in time. Tundra is happy Abbey is okay but still believes the school is the problem and grabs Abbey to take her home. When they are nearly out of the school yard, the Boo Crew stops them. Draculaura tries to explain what actually happened, but Tundra doesn't want to listen, because of what monsters think about yetis. But Abbey stops her mother saying the monsters are her friends. Each member of the Boo Crew, one by one, tells Tundra that Abbey is an amazing monster, that Monster High is not what she thinks and that they were wrong about yetis. Although the Nightmore was not how Draculaura planned, meeting Abbey helped her remember what the holiday is truly about: friendship. Then, she begs the Headmistress to change the rules so Abbey can go to school. But to everyone's surprise, Bloodgood claims yetis haven't been banned from enrolling in the school for years, and this message was flown off to Mount Neverest last century.

Tundra sees the error of her ways. Because she kept her and Abbey hidden from the world for so long, she didn't realize how much the world has changed, she is happy Abbey made true friends and allows her enroll at Monster High, to everyone's happiness. After this, the monsters start a new holiday tradition: Nightmore-more. They gather all students for a party at Monster High. Abbey and Draculaura are now good friends, then everyone sings together Draculaura's holiday song she wrote. After this, Abbey and Heath are standing together under the missing toes, meaning they're supposed to kiss. Heath puckers up to kiss her, but Abbey is too excited about being in Monster High and makes lots of snow, accidentally covering everyone in snow.

Notes[]

Milestones[]

Errors[]

  • Abbey's hair is stiff in a lot of scenes during the episode.
  • Sometimes shading on characters and backgrounder characters are incorrect, specifically in the ice scenes where there are darker backgrounds.
  • How can Draculaura's iCoffin work for notifications, alerts or calling if there is no reception or witchcraft able to be used?
    • Also, how can the Ghoul Mobile's breaks not work for a bit but then work right after Abbey uses her powers?
  • When Draculaura is doing witchcraft in front of Heath, he is not confused. When she does it in front of Lagoona, she is confused. This is odd due to Draculaura already telling Lagoona, but not Heath at the time this episode released.
    • Shea Fontana later implies that sometimes episodes need to air around the holidays, so it is not in order within the plot points.[1]
