Description[]
When a monstrous mood creeps up on Lagoona, the ghouls try to shift her spirits like the changing tides.
Summary[]
It would be an average day at Monster High if not for Lagoona's highly peculiar behavior. The first incident occcurs when Heath shoots her a compliment as she passes by. She responds with rage, shouting in his face that he's not as big a deal as he thinks he is. Later in class, Mr. Rotter gives her a mathematical question he knows she can answer with ease, but she listlessly replies that she doesn't care. Another incident during a swimming race, in which Lagoona wins and aggressively screams at her competition that she is the best of the best, is what finally makes her friends decide to look for why she is acting like this.
Naturally, their first stop is Gil, but he turns out to be innocent and just as confused as everyone else. Frankie proposes that they'll do nice things for Lagoona to remind her that they care. Gil is inspired by this to organize a huge surprise for her, while Frankie and the others attempt more simple gestures of affection. However, Lagoona is not interested in the Barks Macobs shoes they buy for her, and the double chocolate and seaweed cake they bake her even makes her cry loudly.
As the sun sets, the girls find Lagoona sitting alone at the beach, gazing at the serene ocean before her. They gently ask her to tell them what's wrong, and Lagoona explains that every century the ocean's magnetic waves go through a reversal, which affects the emotional state of all sea monsters. Her friends offer to do something about it, but Lagoona explains that this is something no sea monster can avoid and that all she needs is for her friends to be supportive and understanding for as long as this lasts. As the group settles to join Lagoona in her peaceful moment, she confesses she's glad Gil isn't with them, as this would be hard to explain to a freshwater monster. Just then, though, Gil arrives at the beach with his surprise: a marching band carrying balloons and sparklers.

Notes[]
- This is one of the three webisodes first released as an extra on the "Frights, Camera, Action!" DVD on March 25, 2014 (or March 17, in case of the UK release). As its "Ghouls Rule"-predecessors, it will likely be released in the regular line-up some months into 2014. In fact, the three webisodes all had been released in the regular lineup prior in all languages but English in March of 2013.
