Spellcasting Trick

Magic-users are non-Magicians whom practice magic.

The distinction between species and practitioners is required as monsters defined as magicians have a place within Monster High's lore beyond the specific plot introduced as of Generation 3 of Monster High where the act of magic is a practice among humans and monsters alike, non of which are defined as a species related to the craft.

As Magic-users mirror the abilities of actual Magicians, any power and ability described on said page should be within the power/ability reach of Magic-users but limited by the skill of the performer. Any "Freaky Flaw" or limitation the Magician species has should supposedly not be present within Magic-users unless it would apply to the magic itself.

Weaknesses[]

  • Elevation: In Generation 3, Magic-users have to be on a lower elevation to make the magic to work. Being on a higher elevation can stop the magic from working.

Notes[]

  • During Monster High's run, Mattel has opposed the inclusion of witches as a Monster type. With the effort from the G1 creative team, Casta Fierce made her debut but was only granted one doll release as per Mattel's opposition. The plot of G3 revolves around the banned usage of witchcraft, of which Draculaura is a practitioner. All characters introduced whom were magic-users were all distinctive species (humans and monsters) not to be considered "Magicians" as a species, and even less so "Hybrids".
  • Clawdeen Wolf almost became a magic-user in the Monster Ball Homecoming webisode "Lagoona & Clawdeen Figure Out Who Took Dracula?", as she was about to cast the "The Dangerous Spell of Dimension Disasters" from the Witchcraft Codex. However, she was interrupted, and is thus not considered one.
