Amanita is delighted that the dance in thrown in her honor, and she recognizes Cleo in the crowd. When the others ask if they know each other, Cleo angrily admits that she knew Amanita when they were 'tombmates' together long ago. Catrine, Cleo, Venus, Jane and Jinafire are getting ready for the Gloom and Bloom Dance, trying on outfits and making them. When Jane is trying in her outfit she claims that it would be better if her hair wasn't so monstrous. Jinafire replies that it is her tail that is too long. This leads to Catrine saying her ears aren't pointy enough and Venus wishes her complexion was greener. Opposing, Cleo believes that she is too beautiful. Marisol, who has been hearing the ghoul's, tells them to be quiet and stop worrying about their 'imperfections', so loudly it scares the ghouls. Cleo asks her if she had never wanted to change something about her aesthetic and Marisol, embarrassed, tells them the story of how, before, she was unsure about the size of her feet and tried to hide them from everyone, especially from this Bigfoot boy, Sam Squatch, who she is trying to impress. She looks in the internet for solutions, and finds a pair of shoes that will make your feet 3 sizes larger! The ghouls are surprised that Marisol was ashamed of how small her feet are, since they are gigantic compared to theirs. Marisol continues the story by telling them she had spent all her guinea piggy bank savings on the shoes, but when she tried them on, she fell of how big they were on her. Sam, who saw everything, helps her out and asks her for a dance. They dance happily and Marisol tells the ghouls that he liked her for who she was, regardless of how she looked.

The next day, the ghouls meet Marisol in the halls and thank them for their wise words in order to make them love themselves more. Cleo seems to have misunderstood the message, since she comes in the halls wearing gigantic shoes like Marisol's. She trips and her friends help her out, laughing with her. [Source]

Under a big top tent, Headless Headmistress Bloodgood introduces the students to the Freak du Chic, a circus being performed by Frankie Stein, Jinafire Long, Rochelle Goyle, Honey Swamp, Toralei Stripe, and the school's newest student, Gooliope Jellington. To explain how the ghouls became circus performers, Frankie takes us back to a couple of days ago...

Bloodgood meets with Monster High's unpleasant accountant Mr. Grunderson, who informs her that the school is low on money. In order to save money, he intends to cancel the art programs. Bloodgood is aghast at the decision, but Grunderson happily tells her the Board of Deaducation have given him full authority to shut down whatever he wants, and he tells the students to pack up their things.

Meanwhile, in the Monster High storage room, a mysterious figure wonders around, fiddling with the boxes and trunks. Saddened, Frankie, Toralei, Jinafire, Rochelle, and Honey carry their boxes to the storage room, leading the mysterious figure to hide away. Toralei complains about Mr. Grunderson's decision and proclaims she wants to bring the classes back, to which Frankie suggests that they could hold a fundraiser to raise money to save the art programs, and Toralei, naturally, feels weird for agreeing with her. As they look for items which could help them, the entire room suddenly shakes, and they spot a nervous Gooliope hiding behind a pile of boxes.

Gooliope introduces herself, and spots a trunk she had been looking for, which is filled with circus props. She explains she used to be part of the travelling circus Freak du Chic before joining Monster High. Frankie gets the idea of performing their own Freak du Chic at the school, and using the ticket sales to save the art programs. Gooliope offers to help by creating all the costumes and props they'll need to host their own circus.

Later on, as she watches the ghouls struggle to practice their performances, she realizes there's still a lot of work to do... [Source]

Mr. Grunderson storms down the halls of Monster High as Clawdeen complains about the loss of the arts programs. Twyla, next to her, adds that she will never be able to show off her stilt skills because of that decision. That moment the lights go off. Suprising everyone, one by one, spotlights light up over each member of the 'permanent' Freak du Chic: Frankie, Rochelle, Toralei, Jinafire, Honey and Gooliope, which introduces herself and the circus fundraiser she and the crew are about to organize. The students on the halls get excited, Clawdeen and Twyla plan to help at the show too, only Grunderson is not too amused.

At the Board of Deaduction officer, Grunderson shows the Skullastic Superintendents the Freak du Chic posters, demanding for such activity to be canceled due to lack of authorization. However, Headless Headmistress Bloodgood and Nightmare storm in the room and demands the show to be authorized, to which the Skullastic Superintendents decide that, if the show isn't ready that night, the arts program will then be closed.

Bloodgood immediately warns the Freak du Chic crew, which isn't happy with the decision, claiming they're not prepared. Bloodgood asks them to show of their talents. Frankie performs well but Honey gets tangled in her marionette strings, going against Frankie and knocking Toralei over, causing her ball to bump on Jinafire who falls over Rochelle. Bloodgood starts to worry, however Clawdeen and Twyla enter the room and ask for help to enter the show, to which Gooliope responds 'The more the merrier'. [Source]
