Volume 2, Episode 7: The Spark has set its sight on a new monster at the Monster High Talon Show! Iris gets a push into the spotlight in a night she never thought would come. She sings about overcoming her past and opens up in "Back In the Dark". Watch her wow Draculaura, Frankie, and Clawdeen with a jaw-dropping performance!
Summary[]
Cleo's performance ends, and she basks in the glow of the audience's applause. Iris and the Spark bump into each other backstage, and the two lock eyes. The narrator squeals excitedly as the Spark eventually touches Iris. Knowing that she just needs a push into the spotlight, the Spark literally does so after setting up the lights and props from the sound system for her song.
Iris begins to sing "Back In the Dark" from the corner of the stage. She never thought this day would come as she stares at the glowing microphone in the spotlight. Accepting this change, knowing that this where she's supposed to be, Iris charges onto the stage and sings into the microphone; her friends backstage and the audience cheer her on.
Iris begins singing about being bullied relentlessly, but is glad that that pain is all in the past now, as she refuses to hide anymore. This earns the sympathy of Clawdeen, Draculaura, and Frankie, who rush onto the stage and act as background singers. Frankie unleashes electricity that illuminates the entire stage with colorful lights. The quartet give the song a powerful conclusion, to the adoration of the audience, who throw roses all around. The narrator cries as Iris is hugged by her newfound friends. However, it's not long before Draculaura's attention is on the Spark once more, who winks at her and flies away.
