Summary[]

Bull's Eye

Headmistress Bloodgood announces to the students that the Fraidy Hawkins dance, where the ghouls ask the guys to be their date, is coming up at the end of the week. To help fund the dance, Abbey and the student council are selling Furry Fiends; cute, fuzzy soft toys which come to life when powered with electricity, as demonstrated by Frankie. Soon dozens of students are lining up to buy one.

Iris sees Manny fuming about his broken iCoffin in the halls and considers asking him to be her date. Toralei teases her about this, causing Iris to walk away and trip over Manny's backpack. Manny helps her up and calls her clumsy, which leaves Iris wondering if he just insulted her. She visits the Coffin Bean to ask Draculaura for advice and is called clumsy by Manny again when she slips on a banana peel. Draculaura suggests that Manny was just teasing her as a sign he likes her, suggesting Iris sort things out by accompanying her and Clawd on a double date at the movies.

In the movie theater, the four watch a sad film, but Iris is more saddened when Manny seems disinterested. She then notices the gummi worms she bought are missing. Manny offers to get her some more but ends up losing his temper when someone tells him to sit down and knocks over several patron's drinks. As he makes for the exit, a shadowy figure drops a load of gummy worms on the floor. Manny steps on the worms and runs out before his feet stick to the floor.

Iris follows and finds him sitting glumly outside. She asks why he's angry, and he explains he's not really angry; he's just trying not to be clumsy. Iris understands, knowing full well how embarrassing clumsiness can be and realizes he was trying to compliment her on her freaky flaw. She asks Manny to the dance, much to his delight.

Locketness Monster

Lagoona and Gil are admiring the Furry Fiend they bought earlier when it shocks Gil. Lagoona looks in her locker for a first aid kit and discovers Gil has left a present for her inside: A necklace made from a large purple shell. Gil explains that when he was hanging out at the lake with his friends earlier, he saw a shadowy figure (the same one we saw in Manny and Iris' story) leave the shell on his towel. Unable to give it back, he decided to make it into a gift for Lagoona. Lagoona is utterly delighted and asks Gil to be her date for the dance. She then runs off to help Venus collect trash in the quad. Realizing she's forgotten her iCoffin, Gil goes after her.

Lagoona picks up trash in the quad when suddenly, the shell necklace glows, and her clothes are transformed into a fairy-tale princess-style dress. She then starts dancing and singing in rhymes, which attracts several animals who dance with her and even braid her hair. Gil arrives in time to see this bizarre act and asks what's going on. Lagoona doesn't even realize she's singing until Gil records her voice on her phone for her to hear. Gil suggests they go home to figure this out, but Lagoona remembers she volunteered to help decorate the gym for the dance. Gil joins her to keep an eye on her.

The two work on decorating the gym, but Lagoona just can't stop singing loudly despite their best efforts. With everyone staring at her, Gil decides to join in and dance hand in hand with her. The ghouls watching think the two are being very romantic and leave them in peace. Just as Gil is actually starting to enjoy dancing, the shell necklace falls off, and Lagoona turns back to her usual self. They find a small inscription on the shell, explaining that it is cursed to make whoever holds it sing and dance. Lagoona thanks Gil for dancing with her and sparing her from embarrassment.

Party Monster

Abbey is carting a load of Furry Fiends to be delivered when Heath runs up and starts joking around, claiming he thought she was collecting hairballs. Abbey says she has no time for jokes and walks away, leaving Heath dismayed that she didn't ask him out. He meets Gil and Manny, glad that at least they all haven't been asked to the dance. When Manny and Gil reveal they have been asked, Heath is even more distraught and wonders how to get Abbey's attention. Gil jokes that he'd need to be as fuzzy as the Furry Fiends for Abbey to notice him, which gives Heath an idea.

The three of them sneak into Ghoulia's laboratory, where Heath hooks himself and a Furry Fiend up to a machine, hoping to transfer some of the toy's fuzziness onto him. As he asks his friends to make him as fuzzy as possible, the shadowy figure sneaks in and activates the machine. Heath is zapped with energy, and when the smoke clears, he is transformed into a gigantic, fluffy creature. Manny and Gil run for their lives, but the transformed Heath chases after them and gives them a hug.

Abbey appears, and the creature tries to hug her, but she tells him to back off and sit down with a firm voice. Looking into the creature's eyes,' she realizes it's Heath and takes him back to the laboratory. Ghoulia hooks him up to the machine (after getting a kiss from him) and restores Heath to his normal self. Heath apologizes for the mess and asks Abbey how she knew the creature was him. Abbey replies that she recognized Heath's good heart through his eyes and asks him to escort her to the dance.

Shock and Aww!

Invisi Billy and Scarah are showing each other the Furry Fiends they bought each other. They meet Frankie and ask her to charge up the toys. Frankie happily obliges, unaware that the shadowy figure has connected her to a power cable. As Scarah begins to ask Billy to be her date for the dance. Frankie hands back the Furry Fiends, giving them both a large shock. Somehow, the shock causes their souls to switch bodies: Billy is now inside Scarah's body and Scarah in Billy's. Billy is less than pleased to be wearing a skirt, and Scarah has trouble controlling her newfound invisibility.

They decide to track down Frankie and get her to shock them back to normal. Billy uses Scarah's psychic powers to find Frankie's thoughts and discover she's having a sleepover at Draculaura's house. They head to Draculaura's house, where Draculaura invites Billy in Scarah's body to join the sleepover but tells Scarah in Billy's body that boys aren't allowed. She takes Billy to meet Frankie and the other ghouls, and Billy realizes that he could use Scarah's telepathy to read the ghoul's minds and find out what they really think about the other boys. However, he is disappointed when he hears the ghouls thinking about loads of different subjects, except boys. As the ghouls shove him into the bathroom to try on a new dress, Scarah manages to turn herself invisible and sneaks into the room but knocks over a table while trying to remain unnoticed.

Billy struggles to put a dress on over Scarah's usual clothes and decides to just tell everyone what's going on. He bursts out of the bathroom and accidentally knocks Scarah into a table, sending a pot of face cream splattering onto everyone. Everyone laughs it off, and Scarah grabs Billy's hand. Billy makes an excuse to leave and asks Frankie to shock him to get rid of some static cling. Frankie does so, and the shock returns Billy and Scarah's souls back to their own bodies. Relieved to be back to normal, the two leave, and Scarah finally asks Billy to be her date for the dance.

Table for None

Cleo, Ghoulia, and Frankie are visiting the mall for some new dresses for the dance. Cleo spies a particularly fancy dress and goes to buy it but discovers she has no money in her wallet. She decides to talk to her father and rectify this. Her father is talking to the shadowy figure on the phone when she arrives. He tells Cleo that he still doesn't approve of Deuce dating her and refuses to give her any money to spend on a date with him. Cleo shrugs it off, believing Deuce will be able to pay for the date.

The next day, Deuce gives Cleo many Furry Fiend toys, but because he spent all his money on them, he has nothing left for the dance. Dismayed, Cleo decides there's no way they can go looking less than spectacular, and they'll have to skip the dance. So that no one suspects what's happened to them, she asks to stay at Deuce's house to keep a low profile.

At Deuce's house, Deuce plays Grand Death Zombo on a game console and asks if Cleo would like to play. Cleo refuses at first, but Deuce jokes that maybe the game is the one thing she's not the best at, and she starts playing to prove him wrong. She actually starts enjoying the game. When they run out of snacks, Deuce suggests that he cook dinner for them, and Cleo helps him in the kitchen as he prepares a delicious meal.

After dinner, Cleo tells Deuce she wants to go to the dance, after all, realizing that they don't need money to have a good time, as long as they've got each other.

Shadow of a Doubt

The day of the Fraidy Hawkins dance is finally here, and Draculaura is excited about going with Clawd. When Clawd meets her, she asks if he's gotten their tickets. He checks his pockets but is surprised to find the tickets are missing. Guessing he misplaced them, he goes to his locker to give Draculaura a gift but discovers that it has gone missing as well. Heath asks if he actually forgot about the dance. Clawd tried to prove him wrong by checking on the dinner reservations he made, but somehow they've been canceled. Gil and Billy show up from getting their outfits for the dance and reveal that they couldn't find the clothes Clawd put aside. Draculaura tells him that none of that matters, as long as they can be at the dance together. But Clawd stomps off, determined to figure out what's going on.

That night, the dance is in full swing, but Clawd hasn't arrived yet. Draculaura anxiously watches the entrance for him, but the only ones she sees enter are Cleo and Deuce. The other students start gossiping that Clawd really did forget about the dance. Draculaura still believes in him and prays for him to finally arrive. Suddenly, she's given a bouquet of roses... by Valentine!

Valentine claims he's turned a new leaf after the events of Draculaura's birthday, but the ghouls can't believe him. He explains that he's been secretly helping everyone out with their romantic problems. He stole Iris's gummy worms so Manny would have to be chivalrous and get some more for her, left the enchanted shell (which he got from a sea witch) for Gil to give to Lagoona, activated the machine to make Heath cuter, charged up Frankie so she could activate Billy and Scarah's Furry Fiends, and tried to patch things between Deuce and Cleo's father. When the students tell him about all the trouble his efforts caused, he's dismayed. But Iris points out that even though his plans didn't work as he planned, they still helped all the couples become closer to each other.

Clawd finally arrives, and he's not pleased to see Valentine. Valentine reveals that he was the one who canceled all of Clawd's date arrangements; he wanted to make it up to Clawd by paying for everything himself. When Clawd doesn't believe him, he explains Clawd should have gotten a gift certificate to cover the cost... then he checks his phone and realizes he forget to send it to him. Frankie tells him that while he meant well, a true friend should never sneak around if they want to help someone, and maybe he should ask for advice before doing something like this again. Promising to do better in the future, Valentine joins the others in the dance.
