- May 07, 2014: Mattel requests the trademark for Huebert.
- December 04, 2014: A picture of Huebert is included in Porter Geiss's banner on the website.
- July 06, 2015: Mattel abandons the trademark for Huebert.

- Huebert is a pun on the name "Herbert" and the word "hue", which relates to the color spectrum.
- All four Haunted - Student Spirits dolls were meant to come with pet figurines, but they were budgeted out at the last second. Huebert is not present in Haunted and would've come without known design if not for his inclusion in Porter's banner on the website.
