The Gloom Beach doll line is both the first Spring Break and the first beachwear line of Monster High. It consists of six dolls, of which one a store-exclusive. Frankie Stein, Cleo de Nile, Jackson Jekyll, Clawdeen Wolf, and Draculaura were released first in Late November, 2010. In Late July, 2011, a 5-pack was released exclusive to Target, which contained all Gloom Beach dolls except for Jackson Jekyll but with Ghoulia Yelps.

Gloom Beach was filed for trademark on May 19, 2010. The name refers to the fictional location the outfits are associated with: Gloom Beach.
Assortment relations[]
As the first Spring Break assortment, Gloom Beach precedes Skull Shores and Scaris: City of Frights. As the first beachwear assortment, Gloom Beach precedes Skull Shores and 'Make a Splash'.
All Gloom Beach accessories were exclusive to the line upon its release, but a few have been reused by other lines.
Doll logs[]
The five single-pack dolls all come with a quote printed on the back of the box and come with a Gloom Beach messages in the form of a postcard sent to friends at home or at other vacation spots. The 5-pack has two quotes printed on the back of the box that belong to Draculaura and Clawdeen. It also has two Gloom Beach messages printed on the back - one the card Frankie sent to Ghoulia and one an iCoffin message Cleo sent to Ghoulia.
Fiction[]
Several webisodes in Volume 2, from "Screech to the Beach" to "Road to Monster Mashionals", featured the ghouls in their Gloom Beach outfits, though never wearing their Gloom Beach haircuts, as well as took place on Gloom Beach itself. The webisode "Zom-Beach Party" promotes the 5-pack.
Trivia[]
- In the webisodes and Zom-Beach Party Ghoulia wears her normal glasses but her Gloom Beach doll wears sunglasses.
- Cleo is the only one in the doll line to wear a bikini instead of a one piece.
