Plot[]

Ghoulia, Frankie and Lagoona are in their respective dorms playing a dancing video game called "Performance Party" and comunicating to each other with each other through headphones. The game is created by skeleton monster famous singer Skelly Vonderbone, who is Ghoulia's idol. Ghoulia has a beautiful singing voice, and her biggest dream is to perform in a show, especially with Skelly. Ghoulia pushes start and she and her friends play the game, then they do Skelly's signature dance move, the "knee knock". Suddenly, the Skullette P.A. System gives an annoucement, the students who do haunted theater class (which includes Ghoulia, Frankie and Lagoona) must go to the clawditorium for an urgent update. So Ghoulia, Frankie and Lagoona turn off the game and head to the clawditorium.

The three are in the clawditorium with Draculaura, Deuce and Manny when Mrs. O'Shriek excitedly annouces to her students they will a very special guest instructor for the day's class. Before O'Shriek can finish her intro, the guest instructor enters the clawditorium, revealing to be Skelly Vonderbone herself. Everyone cheers with excitment while Ghoulia is awestruck but happy to finally meet her idol. Skelly arrives riding on Nightmare, after taking Skelly to the clawditorium, Nightmare leaves. Skelly and O'Shriek explain that, for this screamester, the students will peform in a show with Skelly, where they will sing her hit song "Turn It Inside Out", and dance. All students are excited with it, so O'Shriek leaves Skelly taking care of everything. The latter starts with a vocal exercise, first Manny sings it, then Frankie, and then it's Ghoulia's turn. Ghoulia is excited with Skelly around, but when she opens her mouth, instead of singing, she grunts "brains" with a zombie-like voice. This leaves everyone in shock, including Ghoulia herself. Embarrassed, the latter runs away from the clawditorium, leaving Frankie and Lagoona concerned.

In her room, Ghoulia is ashamed of seeing Skelly face-to-face again after the incident. Frankie and Lagoona come to her room to check up on her after class. Lagoona was very confused for what happened and asks Ghoulia why she didn't sing like normal. Ghoulia explains she isn't normal, what happened to her is called "brain freeze", something that happens to zombies when they're nervous; she never had it before, but when around Skelly, she won't be able to stop her brain freeze. Ghoulia is very embarrassed, because that day was a chance to make her dreams come true and it was a disaster, so she decides gives up on her dreams. But Lagoona and Frankie encourage her to not do it and offer to help her overcome her brain freeze. To start, Ghoulia will practice singing with Skelly's video game. Ghoulia turns on her game and prepares to sing, but when she sees Skelly's avatar, she gets brain freeze again and grunts "brains", to her friends' concern. In the graveyard, Lagoona turns on a speaker while Frankie is covered by a poster with Skelly' picture, to play Skelly. Ghoulia is about to sing, but when seeing Skelly's picture, once again, she has brain freeze and grunts "brains." This goes on a few more times, but Ghoulia still hasn't gotten over her brain freeze.

In the Coffin Bean, Lagoona and Frankie comfort Ghoulia and think of other ways to help her. Ghoulia thanks her friends, but has given up on trying and decides to quit the show, leaving her friends really concerned. Ghoulia is alone in the clawditorium, still sad with her brain freeze, when Skelly suddenly shows up. Skelly shows concern for Ghoulia and asks her what is happening, so Ghoulia tells her everything. Skelly asks Ghoulia if she has played her videogame, which she confirms, so Skelly tells her how to unlock the secret level, so Ghoulia goes to her room. In there, Ghoulia unlocks the game's secret level, where Skelly tells how she became famous: when she was younger, in the beggining of her career, whenever she was at stage she got nervous and had "rattlebones", something that happens to skeletons that causes them to shake, and she couldn't stop it. But although nervous, she wanted to sing and dance, so she accepted her rattlebones and turned it into her knee knock dance move. With this she became the famous star she is now.

Ghoulia is surprised to know Skelly had the same experience she's having now, then the level has a challenge where the player turns their "thing" into talent. Avatar Skelly says that "whatever is inside of you, sing it out". This inspires Ghoulia. At the clawditorium, before the show, Lagoona and Frankie give Skelly an updated version of the lyrics of her song, with changes made for Ghoulia, Skelly accepts the changes. The show starts, Skelly and the students (except Ghoulia) sing "Turn It Inside Out" while dancing (but Ghoulia is dancing too), then at the end of the song, Ghoulia sings "brains". The audience applauds Ghoulia's singing, Skelly compliments Ghoulia too and her friends hug her. The students take a group picture with Skelly. After this, Ghoulia hangs it in her room as she is about to play Skelly' game again.
