Confronted by the Fear Squad, the werecats admit to their plan to get them expelled so they can be fearleaders again, believing they can't do anything about it anymore. They are proven wrong. To add insult to injury, Ghoulia also hacks the school system, ups the werecats' math credits, and gets them forcibly sent off to the Trigular Calculometry Summer Math Camp. [Source]

The girls then notice that Toralei, Purrsephone, and Meowlody are back from the Trigular Calculometry Summer Math Camp, and Clawdeen overhears them saying that Nefera is always wearing the newest trends, so they want to follow her and copy her look. The girls then get the idea of finding a new 'style' to show to Nefera.

Cleo attaches plungers to her heels, Clawdeen wears toilet paper holders as earrings, Lagoona wears a garbage can as a dress, Frankie wears a beehive on her head, and Draculaura uses roadkill as a purse. Nefera returns and says that they look ridiculous, but they tell her that they are brand new fashion statements, and surely Nefera must have heard about them since she's a famous model.

Nefera is embarrassed about her apparent lack of knowledge of the new 'top fashion' and demands that the girls hand them over to her. She then dresses in her new 'outfit', becoming the laughing stock of the Maul as passers-by take pictures on their iCoffins.

Draculaura says that Nefera will never be able to show her face at the Maul again, to which Cleo replies that it is the best day of her life. Just then, Frankie points out that Toralei and her friends have indeed copied Nefera's new look, to which the girls all laugh. [Source]

Toralei is assigned to an advanced math class by the guidance counselor, much to the joy of the Fear Squad. Clawdeen asks Toralei outside the counselor's office a very advanced maths question, which Toralei answers. The ghouls cannot help but laugh at her. As Toralei makes her exit, Lagoona walks out of the girl's bathroom, sobbing. She states that Gil's parents sent him to another school, and runs off crying. Jackson comes out of the boy's bathroom; he nervously shrugs off Frankie's questions about Cleo's party, saying that he didn't go because he needed to "change" he then walks back into the boy's bathroom, leaving Frankie a bit confused, as she walks off, slightly disappointed, Spectra snaps a picture of her.

In first period, Toralei demands that Abbey move from her spot, which Abbey blatantly refuses, calling Toralei a "mean girl with sandpaper tongue," causing Toralei to hatch another scheme. She grabs some of the snow surrounding Abbey and throws it at Frankie, who assumes Abbey is throwing it. She retaliates, getting both of them sent to the principal's office and starting a feud with Abbey.

As they walk to the principal's office Frankie says "I can't believe this! I've never been in trouble before! Aren't you worried?" to which Abbey replies "You threw snowball first. Principal will bring hammer down on you." Frankie tries to tell her that it was just a misunderstanding, but Abbey doesn't listen. She tells Frankie that she understands perfectly, and if she wants a war, she'll get a war. [Source]

Frankie and Abbey both go into stalls, and they see Toralei and her gang come into the bathroom. Toralei says that she couldn't believe that Frankie and Abbey were unaware that she started the snowball fight. Frankie and Abbey plot revenge when they hear that they're planning to throw the rest of the Fear Squad in the pool. After Lagoona's swim meet, with the Fear Squad there to congratulate her, Toralei and her friends are just about to push them in, only to slip when Abbey freezes some water on the ground, causing them to slip and grab a lamp to avoid the water in the pool. The bracelets then come off, and Frankie invites Abbey to come with her and her friends to the Coffin Bean at the maul. Abbey says she would love to go with the ghouls. Frankie leans in to hug Abbey but gets frozen solid and the episode ends with the Fear Squad laughing. [Source]

Headless Headmistress Bloodgood says that they must do what Nefera de Nile says to win Monster Mashionals, which doesn't end well at all. Nefera de Nile presents several terrible routines, and then after delivering a speech about how she could never lead them...replaces the squad with Toralei Stripe and the were-cat twins, Purrsephone and Meowlody. As Nefera prepares to cheat, Toralei and the twins confront her—Toralei tries convincing Nefera that she and the twins can beat Cleo and her B-squad on their own (without the use of Nefera's idols). Nefera, however, refuses to listen and continues with her vile plan. Meanwhile, Cleo is almost in tears about how they can't possibly beat Nefera with her tricks, but with a little, uplifting speech given by Deuce, she is just as ready as ever to beat Nefera.

Nefera is soon reduced to her very last one, which summons a large Scargoyle behind the ghouls. However, Toralei and the Werecat Twins show up and scare it off when they bare their fangs. Toralei (speaking for herself and the twins) admits that as much as they want to win, they'd rather not do it through cheating. The ghouls finish their performance without any more interruptions and ultimately win Monster Mashionals.

Nefera shows her true colors when she snatches the trophy from the ghouls' hands and starts claiming how since she's the coach, she technically won. But Ghoulia shows Scary Murphy a video of Nefera deploying her idols, to which Scary Murphy not only disqualifies Nefera for cheating, but also has her stripped of all her previous fearleading awards. As the ghouls are lifted up by their friends, Cleo and Toralei (and her werecats) flash a friendly smile at each other. [Source]

Toralei was born as the smallest of a litter of six, which in its entirety was abandoned at a young age. Toralei's siblings got adopted soon enough by a troll couple, but Toralei was left to fend for herself. Being an adoptive kitty, Toralei did just that until her mid-teenage years, when she was arrested and placed into the pound. There she met Meowlody and Purrsephone, her best friends in life ever since, and worked her way to the top of the pound's food chain. Eventually, this situation came to an end when the werecat trio received a visit from Headless Headmistress Bloodgood of Monster High, who invited them to enroll in her school. The trio eagerly accepted, glad to leave the pound and ready to tackle the school's food chain the same way they did the pound's.

The program comes to an end and Spectra anxiously asks Toralei for her opinion on it. Toralei proclaims that she loves it. [Source]

Toralei flirts with Hoodude to use his powers to torture Frankie and her friends. Her first act gets Hoodude to ask Draculaura for her pen, so he can 'write down Toralei's number'. Meowlody trips Hoodude, which causes him to fall down the steps. Draculaura feels Hoodude's pain because of this. Next, Hoodude is made to ask Frankie for her spoon at lunch, at which point Purrsephone makes him slip on some water. Hoodude falls hard on his back, a fate that gets transferred to Frankie. The third victim is Clawdeen, whose notebook is borrowed by Hoodude. Toralei pushes him into the fountain, where he is attacked by tentacles, which Clawdeen ends up feeling the hits from. Fourthly, Lagoona's frisbee is borrowed, which Toralei, in a pretend game, throws into a cactus field for Hoodude to catch. Needless to say, Lagoona felt the needles.

Lagoona goes to her friends and relays what happened to her and Frankie points out she had a similar experience. Draculaura questions why Toralei has been hanging out with Hoodude, and the ghouls get their answer when Toralei pushes in one of Hoodude's needles as he holds Cleo's Biteology book, causing her chest pain. Lagoona then gets an idea and, after giving Hoodude Toralei's bracelet, lets him practice off the high dive of the pool as a test for Swim Team membership. This causes Toralei to get splashed with water for the next three hours. [Source]

The Coffin Bean is then shown again, full with customers and a line out the door. Nefera, not realizing what's going on first, sees what's happening now and is angered by her sister's success. Draculaura's then shown giving orders to some of the customers, and then Nefera's shown again when a mob of zombies comes by towards the Coffin Bean. At first, Nefera tries to prevent them from entering, but she gets trampled by them. Frankie goes to the device that's keeping track of all the money earned and excitedly shouts that they've actually exceeded way beyond Cleo's goal and made it way past the top of the device.

Everyone celebrates the fear squad's success. Nefera's then shown, the aftermath of getting trampled by the zombies, and Toralei walks up to her. Toralei then jokes that it seems that the amulet was actually her "bad luck charm" rather than Cleo's. Nefera accidentally drops the amulet and it breaks, and then Nefera's shown with a troubled expression, knowing what's going to happen now that the amulet's broken. [Source]

Even Toralei takes an interest in the scooter, which Ghoulia does not like. Worried, she heavily chains up her scooter, but still, Toralei manages to steal it. Ghoulia is in tears and tries to get her scooter back, but Toralei is too fast for her with it.

Eventually, Ghoulia gives up and sits down. At that moment, she is approached by Cleo, Clawdeen, and Draculaura, who then learn of the theft and resolve to get the scooter back for Ghoulia. They chase after Toralei until she enters the catacombs, which is zombie territory. Thinking quickly, Ghoulia gives Slo Mo a call to mobilize the zombies and corner Toralei, which they easily accomplish. Upon accusation of theft, Toralei claims she had only taken the scooter to wash it for Ghoulia. Ghoulia takes her up on that explanation and under careful watch by the zombies, Toralei is forced to clean the scooter. Cleo even hands Toralei the werecat's own toothbrush to get to the hard-to-reach spots. [Source]

Romulus then sniffs out Jackson, who attempts to run away as soon as he notices Romulus, but then gets caught, and the cooties are passed onto him. Jackson then complains that now not only is he a normie, but he also has cooties. Jackson then continues walking but slips on a book and slides all the way over to Cleo. Cleo now ends up getting the cooties herself, and Jackson falls back on the floor. Draculaura backs away, and Cleo asks Clawdeen to give her the cooties, but Clawdeen suggests Toralei as she and her friends are walking down the staircase because she has been nothing but mean to them.

Cleo, remembering that, grabs her teleportation amulet and she transports to Toralei. She gives Toralei the cooties and teleports away. Purrsephone and Meowlody back away from Toralei, and Toralei remarking they are supposed to be her best friends and gets sad. Frankie then says for everyone to stop and walks over to Toralei. Cleo tells Frankie to not do it, but Frankie says they may be real, but that doesn't mean they have to play along. Frankie asks Toralei to give them to her, and Toralei gives them to her without questioning. [Source]

All the guys and ghouls of Monster high are frightfully ready for a night of celebration, everybody seems to have a plan for the new year.

A party is held at Monster High, and Frankie helps out with catering, creating, and distributing smoothies to her fellow students and the teachers present. All of her acquaintances are vocally enthusiastic about her blends, which draws the attention of Toralei, Meowlody, and Purrsephone. Almost immediately, Toralei hatches a plan to bully Frankie.

Approaching the stand, Toralei pretends she wants a smoothie too, but her true purpose is to reject each one Frankie offers her, thereby stressing Frankie and holding up the line. Frankie remains oblivious of the werecats' prank, even if the line grows and starts complaining, but she does become frustrated over Toralei's minute complaints. Along with her bad mood, her charge increases, until by accident, she electrifies a new smoothie she'd been working on. Toralei grabs it and ignores Frankie's warning not to drink it. Part of the charge passes on to her, which worries Frankie at first, but then Toralei states that though she wants to hate the drink, she can't. She throws it to Purrsephone and makes her way to the dance floor. Taking a sip themselves, Purrsephone and Meowlody soon join her, prompting the other students and even Headless Headmistress Bloodgood to want an electrified smoothie too.

Before long, everyone is dancing to Holt Hyde's music. With no one to serve anymore, Frankie cleans up, happy with the energy her smoothies injected into the party. [Source]

Witnessing another instance of zombies being treated as lesser people, Frankie decides to run for Student Disembodied President to obtain the power to help them. Her friends are supportive of her, with Cleo assigning herself as Frankie's campaign manager. For the most part, Frankie enjoys her friends' aid, but she also finds that most of them expect her to use her future influence to spend energy on trivial matters for them. On top of that, Toralei decides to run too—solely so Frankie will lose.

To boost her place in the polls, Frankie and her team make a campaign video. Frankie uses the opportunity to point out that many people have problems and want her to do something about them, but that there are objectively much more significant issues and that it's those issues she wants to work on. The team is happy with the resulting video and leaves their equipment alone for a bit. Toralei uses this time to rework her opponent's video to make Frankie look like a horrible candidate.

Angered but not defeated, Frankie engages Toralei in a debate. Toralei tries to win votes by making outrageous promises, and Frankie knows she can't beat that. As such, she shifts the attention from her person onto one of the students she wants to help: Sloman Mortavitch. She lets him talk about his experiences as a zombie at Monster High, which move the entire student body. Frankie goes the extra mile by retreating from the election and announcing Slo Mo as the new candidate, since he is a better voice for the zombies than she ever could be. Slo Mo gets twice the votes Toralei gets, and thus becomes the new Student Disembodied President. [Source]

Cleo and Toralei are both after the part of Gorothy in the school production of The Wizard of Ooze. Before the auditions, Toralei notes that the role of Gorothy is for a young girl and that Cleo is too old to stand a chance. Worried, Cleo grabs for a bottle filled with water from the Fountain of Youth that she got from her great-great-grandmother and turns herself a suitable younger age with a drop or two.

At the auditions, Mr. Where is greatly impressed by Cleo's performance. Toralei doesn't trust the matter and follows Cleo backstage. She sees Cleo gain age as the water's effect wears off and then sees her become younger again by applying the water. Toralei confronts her and demands the water to be used on her too. Cleo refuses, leading to a struggle between the two for the bottle experienced by Abbey and Frankie. Predictably, the potion slips from their hands and spills the water all over the two girls, turning them into "monster babies". On top of that, the amount of water also means they'll stay like that for much longer than Cleo was merely younger. There is a cure, but Cleo's great-great-grandmother will have to send it to her, and callbacks are in two minutes.

The girls decide to tell Mr. Where what happened. Blaming each other for the accident, they begin to fight again. Mr. Where draws their attention by claiming they are both perfect for the part. Confused at first, Mr. Where elaborates they will take the role of the Grunchkins, which the Toralei and Cleo grudgingly accept. The role of Gorothy is given to Venus. [Source]

Frankie takes her friends into the corn maze at Monster High to get the best time through it. Her friends aren't as thrilled about the activity as she is until Gil points out that the winners will have their photo placed in the Gory Gazette. Now interested, the group is interrupted by the werecats, who hold the current record of thirty minutes. The trio mocks the group for even thinking they can beat them, but the group is not intimidated.

The werecats unleash three demonic canines to hunt the group with, which has just caught up with Manny. Manny is crying to himself and, when asked why, confesses that he is the only one in his whole family who cannot find his way out of a maze. Also, he's terrified of the creatures lurking in the maze. Just then, the canines catch up with the group and Manny runs for his life right though the corn walls out of the maze. The group quickly takes the path he cleared and leave the maze, setting a new record of twenty-nine minutes. While the group has their picture taken, the canines within the maze turn on the werecats. Not invited to Draculaura's Sweet 1600th Birthday celebration, Toralei plans revenge by disguising her voice as Draculaura's to lure an old flame of Draculaura's from Transylvania, Valentine, to Monster High to help with breaking Draculaura's heart to add to his collection. When Toralei learns of the other ghouls asking C.A. Cupid for help with stopping Valentine, she throws off Cupid's shot, so Cupid and Clawd fall in love with each other instead. When the other ghouls attempt to break Cupid's bow to free Cupid and Clawd from its spell, Toralei steals it and begins to make students fall in love with whatever they see first. Toralei is finally disarmed of the bow by Frankie, Lagoona, and Abbey after being distracted by Clawdeen and left dangling above the Pit of Eternal Body Odor. Her grip finally gives out, causing both her and Valentine to plunge into the Pit and then get ejected from the party by Cleo's bouncers. As a final insult, Valentine uses her as a human shield to avoid being splashed with muddy water by Draculaura and Clawd as they drive off in Draculaura's new car, leaving her seething with fury. Unfortunately, Toralei overhears this and instantly decides she should be the prime beneficiary of Gigi's remaining powers.

Toralei's first wish that day is for a manicure, and many more, increasingly extravagant wishes follow in the hours after. She wishes for new boots, her homework completed, a perfect hair day, jewelry, first place in a competition, a large fish cake, a good grade, extra credits, being in front of a line, longer eyelashes, and a shinier coat. Gigi becomes exhausted from the chain of wishes and hides out at the school fountain. Her friends find her asking her what's wrong and tell her to stop letting Toralei take advantage of her, but Gigi counters that it's Toralei who has to reconsider the course of events because wishes always come with consequences.

Back inside, Toralei pesters Gigi for another wish: she wants everyone to talk about her. Gigi warns her that she has to phrase her wish carefully, but Toralei impatiently demands that she gets her wish. Gigi grants it and people soon start talking about Toralei—however, Toralei realizes that she should've listened to Gigi, because their schoolmates aren't talking about Toralei for anything good: after Clawdeen hands her a compact-mirror, it turns out that the reason the students are talking about Toralei is because she now has a big red zit on her forehead. Toralei gets mad at Gigi, claiming that it's her fault, but Gigi's quick to point out that it's Toralei's own fault and elaborates further: Toralei simply said that she wanted people to talk about her without specifying why she wanted them to talk about her. After Draculaura ruins the viewing of the latest Vampire Majesty movie with her disgust of its leading actress, Veronica Von Vamp, Toralei seizes the chance to ridicule her alongside Gory later on back at Monster High. However, later on, Toralei gets into an argument with Howleen Wolf, Clawdeen's little sister, over which of two actors from the movie is more handsome, with Toralei taking one side, Howleen the other. It leads both sides to gain support until Operetta suggests a Cute Court to sort the mess out. When Ghoulia discovers both actors to be roles played by the same person, Toralei and Howleen end the argument. However, during the debut of Elissabat's latest movie as Veronica Von Vamp, Toralei and Howleen bicker over which of them the actor will sit with until Abbey Bominable puts them in their place. Toralei is among the friends tasked with performing Mr. Where's play on Monster High's history for the school's Bite-Centennial celebration. She is also among the friends who travel with Frankie back to 1814 and meet, unknown to them at the time, Frankie's grandfather, Victor Frankenstein, known by his nickname Sparky, and Hexiciah Steam, Robecca's father. Toralei is actually the reason they get sent back due to her curious nature while exploring Hexiciah's old office. When Sparky damages the time portal before they jump in to return to 2014, due to having jumped in together with Cleo, Toralei and Cleo are accidentally fused together into the freaky fused hybrid, Cleolei, with neither of them having powers that are set off dangerously, but instead, they just feud while sharing the same mouth and body. Neighthan Rot becomes their tutor to try to talk things out with him, similar to how he did it with guidance counselors at his previous schools. Cleolei soon becomes a prisoner of Sparky's Creation 4.0 when it attacks her and the other freaky fused hybrids of Frankie's friends, with Cleolei the first fusion to be captured when she angers the atrocity with a camera flash as she takes its picture to post on the Web. When Frankie uses her own life force to electrocute and deactivate Creation 4.0, Cleolei is the first to be freed and defused back into Cleo and Toralei, but her actions fatally drain Frankie, and she dies soon after. Despite her bullying and teasing nature, Toralei is remorseful and devastated over Frankie's sacrifice.

Using her good times she had with Frankie, Toralei is able to help revive her. Afterwards, she helps finish the play on Monster High's history, and welcomes Avea and the other hybrids to Monster High with open arms. [Source]

Frankie, Draculaura, Clawdeen, Cleo, Ghoulia, and Toralei visit Casta in her dressing room, having won backstage passes in a contest earlier. While they're excited to meet Casta in person, they notice that she seems very nervous. Casta explains she just has stage fright, but the ghouls can believe someone like Casta could even get stage fright. But with her tendency to mess up her lyrics, Casta has plenty of reasons to be nervous. She explains that during her previous year's concert, she messed up the fast part at the beginning of her popular song 'Witching Hour', resulting in one audience member turning into a giant lizard which trashed the stage. She decides to never sing 'Witching Hour' again.

Toralei mocks her for this and suggests that she should go on stage and sing the song in Casta's place. She daydreams about appearing on stage and performing, basking in the adulation of the audience. The ghouls ignore her and suggest to Casta that maybe she concentrates too hard on getting her lyrics right. If she had some kind of distraction to ease her mind, she might be able to sing her lyrics correctly. Casta decides she'll give it a try.

The ghouls head outside, determined to find something they can use to distract Casta on stage. Toralei, however, has other plans. Without the ghouls noticing, she steals their backstage passes and dumps them in the trash.

The concert begins, and Casta flies into the arena on her broomstick-shaped microphone stand to warm up the crowd. The ghouls go backstage and find a control panel for the stage's lighting and effects. They find a button to activate a large fireworks display, which would make a perfect distraction. Before they can press it, a burly squid security guard asks for their passes. They realize too late that they're missing, and they are promptly shown out.

They return to the arena to watch the concert, hoping nothing goes wrong. As Casta starts to sing 'Witching Hour', Toralei grabs one of Casta's spare broomsticks and gets ready to jump on stage and steal the show. However, she loses control of the broomstick and flies around the stage before crashing into the curtains. As it turns out, her crazy flying was the distraction Casta needed to sing her song perfectly (Much to the boy's disappointment). Toralei gets up in a daze and accidentally hits the button on the control panel, setting off the fireworks just as Casta finishes her song.

Casta thanks Toralei for the distraction, and promises that she'll imagine her flying around every time she sings 'Witching Hour'. Toralei is too dazed to care, and collapses to the floor. Casta flies around to wave to her fans, and sees the boys asking to be transformed into a creature. Never one to disappoint her fans, she fires a transformation spell towards them, and they turn into... teeny tiny love bugs with teenier tinier top hats. Hoodude is delighted, and the others are just happy to be transformed at all. [Source]

Under a big top tent, Headless Headmistress Bloodgood introduces the students to the Freak du Chic, a circus being performed by Frankie Stein, Jinafire Long, Rochelle Goyle, Honey Swamp, Toralei Stripe, and the school's newest student, Gooliope Jellington. To explain how the ghouls became circus performers, Frankie takes us back to a couple of days ago...

Bloodgood meets with Monster High's unpleasant accountant Mr. Grunderson, who informs her that the school is low on money. To save money, he intends to cancel the art programs. Bloodgood is shocked at the decision, but Grunderson happily tells her the Board of Deaducation have given him full authority to shut down whatever he wants, and he tells the students to pack up their things.

Meanwhile, in the Monster High storage room, a mysterious figure wanders around, fiddling with the boxes and trunks. Saddened, Frankie, Toralei, Jinafire, Rochelle, and Honey carry their boxes to the storage room, leading the mysterious figure to hideaway. Toralei complains about Mr. Grunderson's decision and proclaims she wants to bring the classes back, to which Frankie suggests that they could hold a fundraiser to raise money to save the art programs, and Toralei, naturally, feels weird for agreeing with her. As they look for items that could help them, the entire room suddenly shakes, and they spot a nervous Gooliope hiding behind a pile of boxes.

Gooliope introduces herself, and spots a trunk she had been looking for, which is filled with circus props. She explains she used to be part of the travelling circus Freak du Chic before joining Monster High. Frankie gets the idea of performing their own Freak du Chic at the school, and using the ticket sales to save the art programs. Gooliope offers to help by creating all the costumes and props they'll need to host their own circus.

Later on, as she watches the ghouls struggle to practice their performances, she realizes there's still a lot of work to do... [Source]

Mr. Grunderson storms down the halls of Monster High as Clawdeen complains about the loss of the arts programs. Twyla, next to her, adds that she will never show off her stilt skills because of that decision. That moment the lights go off. Surprising everyone, one by one, spotlights light up over each member of the 'permanent' Freak du Chic: Frankie, Rochelle, Toralei, Jinafire, Honey, and Gooliope, which introduces herself and the circus fundraiser she and the crew are about to organize. The students in the halls get excited; Clawdeen and Twyla plan to help at the show, too, only Grunderson is not too amused.

At the Board of Deaduction officer, Grunderson shows the Skullastic Superintendents the Freak du Chic posters, demanding for such activity to be canceled due to lack of authorization. However, Headless Headmistress Bloodgood and Nightmare storm in the room and demand the show to be authorized. The Skullastic Superintendents decide that the arts program will then be closed if the show isn't ready that night.

Bloodgood immediately warns the Freak du Chic crew, which isn't happy with the decision, claiming they're not prepared. Bloodgood asks them to show of their talents. Frankie performs well but Honey gets tangled in her marionette strings, going against Frankie and knocking Toralei over, causing her ball to bump on Jinafire who falls over Rochelle. Bloodgood starts to worry, however Clawdeen and Twyla enter the room and ask for help to enter the show, to which Gooliope responds 'The more the merrier'. [Source]

Disappointed with the quality of the show, the students evolved in the fund raising activities sit inside the big tent, miserable over their failures. However, Gooliope comes forward and gives an inspirational speech claiming that a world without the arts is boring, and that the ghouls wouldn't want to be in such situation, calling the ghouls confidence back up. She then proceeds to tell them that what they've been doing wrong all this time was that, instead of focusing on the show as an whole and as a group activity, the ghouls were too worried on their own success.

The flashback ends, going back to present times, where Bloodgood presents the crew and shows the crowd how they can make donations to bring back the art program, using their iCoffins to raise money until midnight. The Freak du Chic starts, each student performing wonderful tricks, but helping each other while doing so, creating not just a group of small performances but a big performance.

The crowd is going wild and the fund raising goal is almost covered. Mr. Grunderson, not amused, interrupts the show, five minutes to the end, and claims that the show will never make it in time, the cuts are solely for the students own good. However his speech is stopped when a mild earthquake interrupts the show, making Grunderson question. Toralei is invited to Boo York by Nefera. Toralei assists Nefera in her scheme to get Cleo and Seth Ptolemy together. After using the broken piece of the Comet to take Seth and Catty's voice, Nefera trusted Toralei to get rid of it and Toralei agreed to the deal. But Toralei gets another idea on her way and uses the voices inside to perform on Bloodway, until the ghouls stop her and get the Comet back. [Source]

During a normal day at Monster High, Frankie, Draculaura, and Clawdeen are practicing for a dance recital in the Clawditorium and not doing very well, thanks to Toralei's rather bad teaching. Lagoona watches them practice, and at Toralei's request, offers to set up a party after the recital but declines the offer to dance with her friends. After they leave, Lagoona steps on stage and dances superbly by herself. She then realizes Gil is watching her and utterly freezes up and faints. Gil asks why she doesn't dance with the rest of the ghouls. Lagoona explains she used to dance back in her home at the Great Scarrier Reef but won't dance anymore. She leaves, unaware Toralei had seen her performance.

The dance recital takes place, and the students are not impressed by the ghoul's terrible dancing. Toralei spots Lagoona dancing along behind the backstage curtains, and not willing to be humiliated alone, pulls back the curtains. Lagoona freezes upon seeing everyone watching her and ends up getting tangled and strung up in the stage rigging.

The next day, Lagoona is horrified to discover a video of her mishap has gone viral and created hundreds of meme pictures. Enraged, she decides to uninvite Toralei from the party. Soon the party, which is next to the outdoor pool, is in full swing. Toralei storms in, demanding to know why she wasn't invited. Lagoona calls her out for embarrassing her, and the two starts yelling at each other, while Ghoulia notices the water in the pool seems to be turning into a whirlpool. Toralei accidentally falls into the pool, and Lagoona dives in to rescue her. Draculaura, Frankie, Clawdeen, and Gil attempt to pull them out, but all of them are sucked under the water and vanish.

When the group comes to, they discover not only are they underwater, but they have all transformed into half-fish creatures. (Much to Toralei's horror) They are then greeted, rather dramatically, by Posea Reef, the daughter of Poseidon. Posea explains that she cares for a special garden, where each plant represents a sea creature. She noticed that Lagoona's plant was wilting and summoned Lagoona to the ocean to help her (and bought the others down by accident). She tells Lagoona that to go back home, she must face her greatest fear and disappears.

The groups decide to swim and find some help, getting used to their new forms as they travel. After a long-distance, they find themselves inside an underwater amphitheater, where they witness several sea creatures performing a dance. Lagoona recognizes one of them - A squid ghoul named Kala. Kala sees them and drags Lagoona on the stage, where she freezes up again.

Lagoona explains that she and Kala used to be friends when they were children and once competed in a dance competition. But after Lagoona kept cheering about how her entire family had appeared to cheer her own, Kala suddenly started acting nastily toward her and deliberately tripped her up on stage. She was laughed off the stage and has had stage fright ever since.

The gang heads to the Scarrier Reef city, where they meet Lagoona's father, Wade, her little sister Kelpie, and her brothers Dewey, Tadpole, and Squirt. Wade welcomes them to stay at his place. Along with Peri and Pearl Serpentine, Kala watch Lagoona from afar and begins plotting to embarrass her again. While Pearl is happy to go along with Kala, Peri feels they're being too mean, resulting in the two sisters fighting.

The next day, Wade warns the ghouls that a giant creature known as the Kraken has been sighted near the town, which the locals are terrified of. While Gil entertains Lagoona's brothers, the ghouls decide to play miniature golf and figure out what Lagoona needs to do. They run into Kala, who challenges Lagoona to compete against her in a dance competition tomorrow. Lagoona is reluctant, but when her sister begs her to take part, she can't refuse. That night, while the ghouls practice for the competition, Lagoona is met by Peri and a sleeping Pearl. Peri tells her that she heard a legend about the Kraken: If she looks the Kraken in the eye, she will never feel fear again. Lagoona thanks her for the help. But when she leaves, Pearl wakes up and reveals the 'legend' is all a trick.

Lagoona announces she's going to see the Kraken, and despite their protests, the ghouls all agree to go with her. They swim down to the bottom of a deep-sea trench and traverse the tunnels until they reach a large cave. Surprisingly, they discover small living quarters and several drawings on the wall... Suddenly, a gigantic creature with tentacles appears and chases after them. The ghouls barely make their escape.

Finally, feeling ready to take to the stage, Lagoona and the ghouls head to the competition. But Kala reveals that there is no legend about seeing the Kraken's eye. She just made it up to trick her. Lagoona is distraught, but the ghouls assure her that dancing on stage shouldn't be a problem after their narrow escape.

The ghouls take to the stage and begin their dance. All goes well, but Lagoona sees the audience and faints again at the climax of the act. Kala laughs at her, and the audience starts joining in, but Gil and the ghouls rush to her defense. They proclaim that Lagoona tried her hardest to return to the stage, even going as far as facing the Kraken and that people should encourage her for the effort instead of mocking her. The crowd begins cheering for Lagoona, even as Kala and her friends take to the stage. Enraged, Kala lets out an ear-piercing scream... and the Kraken suddenly appears. Kala rides on its head as it smashes through the wall in pursuit of Lagoona, leaving Peri and Pearl to fend for themselves.

Lagoona and her friends swim back to Posea's garden and beg her to return them to Monster High. Posea agrees but tells Lagoona that she still must face her fear. She summons a whirlpool and sends the gang through. They emerge back at Monster High, restored to their original selves, but Kala and the Kraken emerge from the pool. As the Kraken begins smashing the school, Lagoona asks her friends and the other students to distract the Kraken while she climbs onto its head to confront Kala.

Lagoona scales the Kraken while it's distracted and faces Kala, realizing that all along, it was Kala and her bullying that was her greatest fear. Kala cries that she was the one who was bullied, that everyone is always mocking her for her appearance. Lagoona tells her that Monster High isn't like that and accepts everyone despite their flaws. Hearing this, Kala tells the Kraken to stop... and reveals it is actually her father!

As the Kraken helps repair the school, Kala explains that she hated how her father was always considered evil by the townsfolk and eventually felt ashamed she decided to live away from him. She realizes she was wrong for not telling everyone how nice her father is and for bullying Lagoona. Lagoona forgives her.

With the school repaired, everyone celebrates with a party by the pool, with Kala, Peri and Pearl, and the Kraken joining in the fun. Back at the Great Scarrier Reef, Posea is delighted to see Lagoona's - and Kala's - plants are finally back to full health. [Source]
