Volume 2, Episode 5: After Draculaura casted a spell that went terribly wrong, the ghouls and boos are still having trouble capturing the Spark! But the Monster High Talon Show continues, even with her dad Dracula in the audience. Draculaura performs a heartfelt song, "Perfect Night", on a night full of magic with Frankie, Cleo, Clawdeen, Lagoona and more monster friends!
Summary[]
Frankie and Iris are trying to fix the lights after Lagoona's accident, but to no positive results, leaving the audience confused. Draculaura begins feeling immensely regretful for trying to cast the spell that inadvertently created the Spark. She begins to sing "Perfect Night", in which she vents out her frustrations of being a control freak who should've trusted her friends, worried that her secret of being a witch will now be exposed. Whilst singing, she briefly irritates Toralei by jumping on a clothes rack the werecat was pushing, and almost hits Lagoona with props.
Remembering that it's her turn to perform on stage, Draculaura walks on depressingly, accepting that she's just going to make a fool of herself. However, Heath lights up candles behind her, Frankie and Iris manage to get the systems working again, and Cleo has her scarabs fly across the stage carrying tiny lanterns. Through singing, Draculaura realizes that she and her friends will always be there for each other to overcome any obstacle, and they should not care about others' expectations, even though everyone around her and in the audience - most notably her dad Dracula - are awe at her performance. And with that, Draculaura sings the rest of her song, dancing and spinning on a revolving stage.
Draculaura is overjoyed by the crowd's eruption into cheers when she finishes her act. Nearby, the Spark also celebrates for her, with the narrator saying it has won them over. However, the second Draculaura notices that the Spark is back, she transforms into a bat and attacks the frightened Spark backstage, causing props to fly all over the place. Dracula is in shock while Clawdeen and Frankie look on concerned. Draculaura spins back onto the stage, crushing the Spark in her hands furiously.
