Amused, the group makes their way to the theater where a long line has formed by then, mostly consisting of Belfry Prep vampires and Crescent Moon High werewolves. All of them react oddly on the sight of the group and Clawd theorizes it's because he, as a werewolf, and Draculaura, as a vampire, are friends. Frankie resolves to say something about it, ignoring Lagoona's and Clawdeen's protests. She loudly tells the vampires and werewolves present that Clawd and Draculaura are dating, causing even more muttering, at which point Lagoona finally gets to say she thinks the initial attention was because Draculaura has toilet paper stuck on her boot. The theatre opens and the vampires and werewolves rush inside, trampling the Monster High students, who decide to catch a later show. Bloodgood appoints the Fear Squad as the welcoming committee, something that only excites Frankie. He explains that he had Draculaura and Howleen captured so that the vampires and werewolves would accuse each other of harming their kin, and that he wants the experiment that is Monster High to fail so that the monsters can never join forces against the humans. By his plan, the werewolves and vampires will be fighting by the time the Skullastic Superintendents arrive and Monster High will be closed. With all that said, he leaves his captives as food for the giant tentacles in the pit underneath their cage.
Though Clawd broke up with Draculaura, the rumor that the werewolves have harmed her infuriates him and he demands Romulus to tell him what happened. Romulus denies involvement and points out that, if anything, Clawd should be worried about what has happened to his little sister.
Right before the fight can commence in the gym, Howleen and Draculaura burst in to tell both sides to stop. They find Draculaura crying in her room because she can't find the perfect outfit to wear—something she hasn't worn before. Frankie says that if they'll look through Draculaura's closet they're bound to find something amazing, but Draculaura counters that she hasn't seen her closet yet. Draculaura opens the door and Frankie and Clawdeen realize the search for an outfit is going to be a minor expedition.
Draculaura guides them down the stairs and, on her request, Frankie fixes the light in the closet so they've got a better view. Draculaura still doubts they'll find anything, let alone in time for the dance, but then it's Clawdeen's time to shine by using her nose to find an unworn outfit. It takes a while, mostly due to the size of Draculaura's closet, but then Clawdeen finds an old chest. Draculaura reads from the text on it that the chest is from her great-great-great-grandmother and only to be opened in case of a fashion emergency. Declaring that it's an emergency right now, Draculaura and Clawdeen try to open the chest, but to no avail. Frankie detaches her arm and lets it crawl inside the chest to open it from within, which does the trick.
Draculaura is immensely pleased with the dress and accessories within and soon admires herself in the mirror. As she does, Clawdeen comes with another outfit Draculaura has not worn before, but Draculaura replies that Clawdeen should wear it. Clawdeen doesn't need to be told twice, and soon enough the three, along with Ghoulia and Cleo, are making a smashing impression at the dance.

Afterwards, Draculaura is allowed to take her driver's test again after the others explained everything to Mr. Hackington, and she passes with flying colors. She drives off in her new car with Clawd, adding one final dose of payback to Toralei and Valentine when she splashes them with muddy water on her way out of the campus.

Draculaura is disgusted by the portrayal of Veronica Von Vamp in her latest movie of the Vampire Majesty series, and voices her disgust about it, resulting in her ruining the latest movie for many of the students. As a result, Draculaura brings Robecca, Cleo, Clawdeen, and Hoodude with her back to Castle Dracul in Transylvania. Despite her joy, Draculaura soon learns that Lord Stoker only intends to make her the Queen in title only, so he can continue ruling the Vampires himself. Upon finding a letter addressed to her father, Count Dracula, from Lord Stoker's niece, Elissabat, in Stoker's office, Draculaura sets off to find Elissabat as she was the true Vampire Queen that had been selected over 400 years ago by the Vampire's Heart. After finding additional clues in Londoom and New Goreleans, while meeting up with the Wolf siblings' big sister, Clawdia, in Londoom, and Honey Swamp in New Goreleans, Draculaura travels to Hauntlywood, believing that Elissabat entrusted the Vampire's Heart to Veronica Von Vamp. Veronica refuses to help her, even after Draculaura pleads her case to her, but when Lord Stoker personally arrives to retrieve Draculaura, Veronica sides with Draculaura and reveals herself to actually be Elissabat all along, with the Vampire's Heart safely inside of Robecca the whole time. Thanks to her help in having Elissabat assume her place as the Vampire Queen, Draculaura gains her full vampire powers, and her opinion on Veronica Von Vamp changes for the better now that she knows Veronica is her best friend, Elissabat, although it does not stop her from voicing her thoughts out loud in the theater again, annoying the other movie-goers.

At that point, Draculaura realizes that Kiyomi is the ghost haunting her all this time, just to help Kiyomi get over her shyness. After Porter seemingly sells her out for his own intentions, he shows he's sorry by using Revenant's key to transfer Draculaura's Detention Chains to himself so she can leave the school and stop the Hall Moanitors from turning her fellow monsters at Monster High into ghosts as well to imprison in Haunted High for Revenant's evil purposes. Through pictures, she shows us she's rather lonely; especially in a world of humans. But she then perks up after telling us her home is soon to become Monster High--a school full of monsters, where she and they can be themselves. And they'll be able to turn into bats "just like humans!" [sic] She then gets so excited about finally having ghoulfriends that she turns into a bat, and flies into Webby's web.
