Deuce Sings "My Own Monster" w/ Heath & Toralei is the third episode of the Sparks & Spells: A Monster High Musical webseries. It is the eleventh YouTube episode of the third generation overall. It premiered on May 19, 2023.
Description[]
Volume 2, Episode 3: Heath is taking center stage to present on the planet's scream house gasses as the Monster High Talon Show continues! Clawdeen, Draculaura, and Frankie are trying to stop the Spark, but it ignites an epic performance from Deuce, Heath and Toralei as they amplify their voices and sing "My Own Monster"!
Summary[]
After being unexpectedly disrupted by Frankie last episode, Cleo can now perform at the Talon Show, with her act being a scarab circus. Much to her annoyance, Heath bolts onto the stage instead to start his presentation on screamhouse gases. However, the Spark finds Heath to be its next target, and touches him next; caught off guard, Heath mistakenly burns his presentation, but begins to sing "My Own Monster", and thus goes with the flow. The Spark assists his performance by releasing the imagery and props in the background and giving him a microphone.
Through the song, Heath sings about how he wants to save the planet since his dad is gonna mess it up, and wishes his dad would stop causing such destruction. The Spark then touches a sympathetic Toralei, who joins in on the performance playing her electric guitar. Toralei sings about her busy mother, and how she wishes for her to give her freedom instead of caring exclusively about power and appearance. The two sing about resorting to a solution to their problems: being their own monsters; being who they want to be away from their parents' control. Heath's presentation drawing frame now displays silhouettes of him and his dad arguing, with him storming away from him.
Meanwhile, Draculaura manages to capture the Spark by vacuuming it, as Clawdeen and Frankie cheer her on. However, the Spark breaks free and bumps into Deuce, causing him to succumb to the musical trance too. One of the snakes on Deuce's head bites the Spark, causing it to fall unconscious. Deuce comes on stage, singing about his disdain towards his mother for trying to make him be "so stone-cold". Together, the trio perform a grand finale, performing and releasing many spectacles in the process. As this happens, Draculaura is able to trap the Spark again while its off guard, trapping it in a jar. As she attempts to hide it elsewhere though, Heath unintentionally unleashes a wild firebolt whilst performing; the bolt hits Draculaura's hands, causing her to drop the jar, which hits the ground and breaks, setting the Spark free, who quickly makes another escape.
Heath, Toralei, and Deuce conclude their performance. As soon as she snaps out of the trance, Toralei stomps off stage, where the Spark then touches an unsuspecting Iris, who is stressed still trying to get the show in order. Iris stares longingly at the spotlight on the stage.

Notes[]
- Like the rest of the Nickelodeon G3 webisodes, this episode's upload on the official Monster High YouTube channel was set to private in September 2024 for unknown reasons, making it lost media through official means.
Continuity[]
- This webisode establishes and foreshadows Heath, Toralei, and Deuce's struggles with their parents, which are addressed properly in the TV series. Heath confronts the struggles he sings about in "Scareer Day"; the same for Toralei across the latter-half of season 1 (namely "Spell the Beans", "Power Heist", and "The Monster Way"), and the same for Deuce in "Spell the Beans".
- This suggests that this volume of webisodes take place at least midway through or in early season 1. It was even released in the mid-season hiatus.
Errors[]
- At the timestamp 1:21 in the wideshot, the drawing frame vanishes for a second.
