Deuce Chases a Mysterious Suspect! is the seventh episode of the Monster High Mysteries webseries. It is the seventh YouTube episode of the third generation overall. It premiered on January 27, 2023.

Description[]

Volume 1, Episode 7: Deuce and the ghouls get top secret info from Headmistress Bloodgood to get them closer to finding who has been creeping around Monster High to stop the rally! But things take a turn when Deuce accidentally uses his powers turning Frankie Stein, Draculaura and Heath into stone! Follow them into the underground tunnels to see if they catch the mysterious suspect!

Summary[]

Deuce is selected on the choose-a-character screen. A direct continuation of the previous episode, in the hallways, Draculaura attempts to cast a see-more spell on the dustpan to check for fingerprints, with Deuce, Frankie, and Heath hiding her. Suddenly, Bloodgood appears behind them, exclaiming "It was me". As Draculaura stops her enchantment, Bloodgood asks them all to come into her office. With the gang believing Bloodgood saw Draculaura using witchcraft, Deuce decides between making a run for it or seeing what Bloodgood wants, and ends up choosing the latter.

In her office, the four indirectly ask Bloodgood if she saw Draculaura using witchcraft just now, but thankfully, it turns out she did not. Bloodgood then confesses a revelation: by saying "It was me", it turns out she broke the trophy. When she was polishing it to prepare for the rally and Dracula's arrival, she heard birds chirping, which irritated her so much that she dropped the trophy. She left to get a dustpan to clean up the mess, but when she came back, the pieces were missing, and that's why she cancelled the rally. Draculaura deduces that whoever stole the pieces also made the Eektok. Bloodgood then asks the students about the progress on their investigation; when showing their clues and suspect list, they quickly remove Deuce from the suspect list as they forgot to do so. Bloodgood then states that the blackout was caused by someone directly turning off the power switch. Deuce suggests that the bird chirping noise was played on purpose to make Bloodgood drop the trophy, and Draculaura supports this evidence by revealing said noise exists on a pre-installed sound file app used to scare off humans on every iCoffin. Frankie asks Bloodgood if anyone else knows how overwhelmed she's been, with Bloodgood responding that right before she dropped the trophy, she muttered that if anything else went wrong today she'd be cancelling the rally. The students deduce that someone wanted the rally to be cancelled, but don't know why.

Deuce suddenly sees the Hooded Figure walking through the hallways from inside the office. He can't get the words out of his mouth to warn everyone though, and one of the snakes in his hair accidentally knock off his glasses when trying to get a better look, causing Deuce to turn everyone in the office to stone with his raw stare. With no one to help, Deuce chases after the Hooded Figure. He chases them into the catacombs, where he loses them. He chooses between "keep running" or "look for clues", and chooses the latter. By doing so, he finds a glove on the floor. Draculaura arrives on the scene, taking Deuce by surprise; it turns out she's been practicing the de-stoning spell. The two then chase after the figure, with Draculaura transforming into a bat to do so, and Deuce trips over trying to catch up to her. However, Draculaura arrives back not long after and holds up the figure's cloak - the episode ends with her revealing that she finally caught them.

Notes[]

  • Like the rest of the Nickelodeon G3 webisodes, this episode's upload on the official Monster High YouTube channel was set to private in September 2024 for unknown reasons, making it lost media through official means.
    • Interestingly, a few days before the upload was set to private, it was shortened after the first five minutes, abruptly ending after Draculaura leaves to chase the figure. The previous and final Monster High Mysteries episodes had the exact same issue. Around the same time as well, several uploads from the channel of the TV series that were up to five minutes long were shortened to about a minute or so, but not set to private. The reasons for all of this is unknown.
  • This episode is entirely in Deuce's POV.
  • Observant viewers will notice that Draculaura's de-stoning spell is foreshadowed before she catches up to Deuce. When she is turned to stone, pink energy can be seen emitting from her.
