Plot[]
On Saturday, Cleo and Nefera are in their dorm, while Cleo is putting on makeup, Nefera is cleaning up the mess her sister left. Cleo is a little annoyed with her sister cleaning too much, while the latter replies she wouldn't have to clean everything if Cleo did it herself, and comments she always needs someone to look after her. Cleo denies it, and claims she is going to make her own way in the world since she won't inherit the throne. Then someone knocks on the door, Cleo opens it and is surprised to see a very sad Clawdeen, who came to return Cleo the ring she borrowed from her. Cleo asks Clawdeen why she is in the school and not in her home like she usually do in the weekends. Upon hearing the word "home", Clawdeen starts crying on Cleo's shoulder, then explains to her friend that she is homesick. As a tradition in the Wolf Family, the family reunites on Saturdays to eat her father's home-cooked jambalaya together. But Apollo has been traveling to monster research conventions a lot recently, so they haven't spend a weekend together for a few weeks. Now Clawdeen misses eating jambalaya, she then leaves.
To cheer Clawdeen up, Cleo decides to cook her a jambalaya and make a surprise dinner, then texts her friends to come eat with them too. Nefera likes the idea asks how she can help, but her sister refuses her help, claiming she can do it on her own. She goes to the library, where Draculaura is studying, and asks the latter to help her by distracting Clawdeen while she prepares dinner. The vampire happily agrees then leaves. Cleo has high hopes things will go perfectly, but when after she enters the kitchen, her hopes are gone, the Heads Chef leaves the school to go on vacation to Pennsylvania. The students Cleo has invited to the dinner are confirming their presence, she begs the Chef to cook but he leaves anyway. Cleo then orders her Scarabs to cook a jambalaya. They put a few ingredients in a pot, but they what's inside it boils over. much to Cleo's annoyance. She then decides to use her mummy powers, but they only cause a mess in the kitchen. The girl realizes she might need help, but instead of calling Nefera to help, she calls Heath.
Meanwhile, Draculaura is in her dorm with Clawdeen, she has just finished telling the latter how vampires settled in Staten Island in order to distract her. Clawdeen is tired after listening and gets hungry, so she decides to leave for a snack, but Draculaura stops her. To keep her friend away from the creepateria for more time, she says she needs Clawdeen's help sorting her potions according to their smells. Since Clawdeen has an acute sense of smelling, this isn't hard for her. While Clawdeen is smelling some potions, Draculaura calls Cleo to check how things are going. The latter claims things are not going well, but has called Heath for help and asks to save her more time. Heath enters the kitchen, where Cleo asks him for help. She shows him a big cookbook for humans, which she believes might have the recipe for jambalayas, but when Heatth reads it, he realizes it's actually a cookbook with recipes of how to cook humans. He suggests calling Nefera, since she studied at culinary school, but Cleo refuses it. Then the book turns out to be alive, it attacks Heath and runs off the kitchen, much to Cleo's annoyance.
Later, Frankie enters the kitchen to help Cleo. The latter has found a recipe online for jambalaya. It tells a story of someone who ate a jambalaya and has passed some other events after it. The story touches Cleo and Frankie deeply, but then Cleo sees the anecdote ends like it, with no instructions on how to cook a jambalaya. Frankie gets some pods to help, but they can't use the pods correctly, then leaves the kitchen rolling in a pot. Cleo then calls Abbey for help, but in her family, the yetis mostly eat iced goods, so her help is not very good either. Meanwhile, Clawdeen had just finished sorting the potions by smell. To buy some more time, Dracuçaura decides to sort the potions by color, to Clawdeen's confusion. Clawd enters the kitchen and is surprised to see the mess in it. Cleo begs him to teach her the jambalaya recipe, but he doesnt know it, since her grew up in Beheme. He suugest asking Nefera, but Cleo refuses it again. She explains that, since her family is legit amazing, monsters think that everything she does and acquires is only because of them. She decides to do it on her own and gives Clawd some pots. In the wicth's lair, Clawdeen had just finished sorting the potions by color, now she is tired and more hungry with her stomach rumbling, she begs Draculaura to go eat, she claims that a werewolf very hungry is not something nice to watch. To buy more time, Draculaura lies that Count Fabulous has bad bat breath and needs her help in making a potion for it, and the last ingredient is in the woods. So they leave the room.
In the kitchen, the jambalaya Clawd and Cleo made is done, but it boils over and blows up. Cleo gives up, believing she never should have tried to do this. Clawd comforts her, and says doing this was a great idea. He also says that growing up without Clawdeen makes him see how lucky he is to have her in his life now, and he can always count on her when he needs her help, and she wants to be by his side. Clawd finishes by telling Cleo there's no shame who wants to help give you help. Then Cleo gets a call from Draculaura, because of the hunger, Claawdeen is now acting like a wild animal and tries to eat Draculaura, so she needs to eat something. After Cleo cleans the kitchen, Nefera enters it, because Cleo has called her earlier, to help her. After a while. a very hungry Clawdeen chases Draculaura down the halls of the school. Then she smells something and enters the Creepateria, where she finds Cleo, Frankie, Nefera, Heath, Clawd, Abbey and Deuce with a pot with jambalaya, Draculaura joins them two. Clawdeen is very grateful for what Cleo did, and the latter claims everyone helped, mostly Nefera. Clawdeen eats all the jambalaya in the pot, to everyone's shock, then asks what the dessert is.
