Clawd & Deuce Get Trapped By the Shadows! is the sixth episode of the Monster Ball Homecoming webseries. It is the twenty-second YouTube episode of the third generation overall. It premiered on December 1, 2023.

Volume 3, Episode 6: After Cleo gets sucked into another dimension, she finds Headmistress Bloodgood, Deuce, Clawd and Draculaura there. As the shadows creep toward them, an unlikely hero appears to rescue them! But could this mean leaving behind a monster in this in between world?
Summary[]
Cleo falls face first onto the ground of a Monster High lookalike hallway that's shrouded in darkness, mist and cobwebs. Running in fear, she bumps into Headmistress Bloodgood, who informs her that they have been teleported into the Not So Realm, a dangerous inbetween space in the dimensional planes, and warns her to beware of the shadows. The duo soon find Deuce, who's still trying to keep his eyes shut as he lost his glasses, after hearing the snakes on his heads argue. Sticking close together, the three of them continue walking through the halls and make a quick escape into the lookalike ballroom when the shadows approach them. There, they reunite with Draculaura and Clawd, but there's still no sign of Dracula. As they keep moving, Bloodgood advises them to stay in the light of the torchlights, just as the shadows snatch Cleo by the foot and drag her on the ground into the darkness. Draculaura and Bloodgood save her, but the group finds themselves trapped as the shadows block all the exits.
Meanwhile, back in the library, Frankie and Lagoona interrogate one of Cleo's scarabs, who Frankie names Rab. Frankie picks up the Ancient Scroll of Returning from the ground, noting it is written in a language no one else but Cleo knows. Clawdeen and Toralei suddenly arrive, and when the two teams catch each other up to speed, Frankie assembles an evidence board of all the abducted victims and clues, concluding that their only solution is to somehow give Cleo the scroll. Clawdeen frightenedly points out that one of them would have to be willing to allow themselves to be portaled to do so. Frankie warns that before doing so, they all still need to figure out what the mysterious [blank] word is that triggers a self abduction, and writes down what Cleo said before she was abducted on the board to figure it out: "This game is never going to end". Toralei, remembering what Bloodgood said before she was portaled ("This is nothing but a dead end!"), announces that she's going to put an "end" to all this nonsense. She takes the scroll, circles the trigger word, and willingly falls into another opened portal, cheekily noting she finally did something nice for her acquintances. Frankie, Clawdeen, and Lagoona look at the word she circled: "end".
Back in the Not So Realm ballroom, the abducted group is crowded in the middle of the room as the shadows close in. Suddenly, Toralei arrives, conceitedly announcing that she's selflessly sacrificed herself to save everyone, only for Cleo to argue by mentioning the time she sacrificed her heart. Toralei gives the scroll to Cleo, who reads that they will be able to return to their home dimension by following the dance steps instructions demonstrated on it accurately. Deuce assures everyone that despite his closed eyes, he will be able to follow the dance moves just fine, as he and his mom watch a lot of the reality show Dancing with the Scares. Calling this her most important EekTok challenge yet, Cleo films the dance on her iCoffin, setting the phone up nearby. Draculaura worries about them leaving her dad behind, but Bloodgood assures her they'll return to save him.
Together, they all successfully perform the dance as Cleo chants the incantation, summoning the portal back home. Bloodgood leads her students straight into it, but Cleo delays herself in an attempt to retrieve her iCoffin, which is in the clutches of the shadows. Bloodgood saves Cleo from being potentially captured, but they both fall through the portal. Cleo briefly hangs on as she warns the shadows not to post anything on EekTok before falling through, and the portal closes shut.

- This has made the original individual episode lost media through official means, but it is still available, like the rest of the volume, as an upload on the official Nickelodeon YouTube channel, which compiles all eight episodes into a 40 minute special. Said upload is blocked in the UK and Ireland.
- This episode is alternatively titled "The Not So Realm". It appears as text onscreen after Cleo and Bloodgood bump into each other.
- "Dancing with the Scares", the show Deuce and Medusa watch, is a reference to Dancing with the Stars.

Continuity[]
- Cleo mentions the events of the TV series' season 1 episode "Pyramid Scheme" when telling Toralei about the time she "sacrificed my literal heart" and is thus more selfless than her.
- Just like previous episodes in this volume, there is a zoom into Toralei's brain, which is shown in a stylized manner to represent her personality, when cutting to the flashback of the end of episode 2.
