During Monster High's run, Mattel has opposed the inclusion of witches as a Monster type. With the effort from the G1 creative team, Casta Fierce (G1) made her debut but was only granted one doll release as per Mattel's opposition. The plot of G3 revolves around the banned usage of witchcraft, of which Draculaura (G3) is a practitioner. All characters introduced whom were magic-users were all distinctive species (humans and monsters) not to be considered "Magicians" as a species, and even less so "Hybrids".
