Bram Devein in "Fright On!"
Fright On! - new arrival Bram

Bram Devein is a 2011-introduced and cartoon-only character. He is a vampire and a student at Monster High. He used to attend Belfry Prep before the school merged with Monster High and though the transition wasn't easy, no one would consider him and his fellow vampires not a part of the school these days. At Belfry Prep, Bram was a highly influential student and he continues to be so at Monster High. He is in a stable relationship with Gory Fangtell.

Portrayers

In English, he was originally voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, then shortly by Cam Clarke, and later by Evan Smith.

Character

Appearance

Bram has blond hair (which is most likely bleached judging by his dark eyebrows), red eyes, and very pale skin. He wears a red shirt/jacket and a black and red tie like the other vampires from Belfry Prep.

Personality

He is a very prideful vampire, and like Gory Fangtell was a bit manipulative to Draculaura. Thought out most of his appearance in "Fright On!", he dislikes werewolves and has zombies serve him like what Gory does. By the end of the movie he's willing to come together in the end, he's at least somewhat nicer now.

Relationships

Family

Nothing is known about his family. Except that they are most likely vampires like him.

Friends

Most of his friends are likely vampires, since he attended Belfry Prep.

Romance

He is currently dating Gory Fangtell. In the CGI TV specials, he is unavailable so he is not seen dating Gory.

Abilities

  • Bat Transformation: Vampires can transform into bats at will.
  • Blood Sucking: Vampires can suck out blood though their fangs. It's also implied that vampires can turn humans into vampires as well.
  • Hanging from surfaces: Vampires can hang from any ceiling no matter what material it is made of. He has been shown to do this in "Fright On!" when he and Gory are observing Draculaura when she's sad and crying because she thinks Clawdeen wants to join "Were Pride".
  • Immortality: Like all vampires he is immortal.

Timeline

  • October 31, 2011: Bram Devein makes his 2D cartoon debut in "Fright On!".
  • July 07, 2011: Mattel requests the trademark for Bram Devein.

Notes

  • His name comes from Bram Stoker, the writer of Dracula, and "de vein" (the vein) is where the blood flows.
