The Generation 2 Backgrounders are the backgrounders who originated in the Welcome to Monster High movie as well as the Adventures of the Ghoul Squad web series. The majority of these replace the backgrounders from the web series and movies before the Reboot.

Grey Mummy Girl[]
The Grey Mummy Girl is often seen in the main ghouls' class in Monster High in the background. She wears a teal top with a black and white undershirt, a patterned blue skirt, and black and pink sneaker boots. Her hair is black and electric blue and is worn in a high ponytail with a salmon-colored scrunchie. She looks like a zombie but with mummy wraps on her legs.
- She appears in "Calling All Ghouls", "Monster High's Got Talent... Show", "The First Howliday," and "Home for the Howlidays".

Vampire Red Boy[]
The Vampire Red Boy is often seen in the halls of Monster High. He wears a red shirt with a black and white pattern, red shoes, and a beanie with black jeans. He walks zombie-like but appears to be a vampire with pink skin and purple hair.
- He appears in the "Welcome to Monster High" movie, "Calling All Ghouls", "Tale of Two Mountains", "Monster High's Got Talent... Show", "The First Howliday" and "Home for the Howlidays".
Blonde Gargoyle Boy[]
The Blonde Gargoyle Boy is often seen in the halls of Monster High. He wears a black sports jacket with a blue and white triangle pattern with mint shorts. He appears to be a gargoyle with grey skin and blonde hair.
- He appears in the "Welcome to Monster High" movie, "Calling All Ghouls", "Gobsmacked", "The First Howliday" and "Home for the Howlidays".
Redhead Werecat[]
The Redhead Werecat Boy is often seen in the halls of Monster High. He wears a light blue and grey baseball top with orange details. He appears to be a werecat with copper and beige skin with dark auburn hair.

Green Eyed-Boy[]
The Green Eyed-Boy is often seen in the halls of Monster High. He wears a check-patterned purple top, ripped blue pants, and purple sneakers with mustard laces. He appears to be a water monster or a zombie with blue/grey skin, dark grey skin, and green eyes.
